If I own an exchange type token, like NEX, and that token gives dividends in assets traded on the change, isn't this a form of ETF? Instead of getting USD, I'm getting partial amounts of underlying assets from the pairs. The pairs are equivalent to the stocks that make up an index ETF.

Well, I can't tell you "From all the other Bitcoin forks out there" because I don't know about them all. But I can tell you a bit about what we aim to achieve. We want to make a blockchain that is a worldwide, high performance network for financial and asset exchange. In contrast, Bitcoin started as a transfer network (not exchange -- with only one asset, its hard to exchange), and has evolved into digital gold. ETH and other EVMs are a massively redundant computer with finance implemented on top. Both of these approaches have problems (for finance). For example, ETH suffers from the "blind signing" problem (where you are tricked into signing a transaction that doesn't do what the web site says it will do). From browsing this forum, the incidence of blind signing attacks appear to be increasing. That's because a full turing complete language like ETH can't be analyzed to extract what a transaction is actually going to do (for arbitrary transactions). This is not an issue in Nexa; the changes a transaction will make to the blockchain is not part of a turing complete language so wallets can simply read the transaction and put on the screen something like: "This transaction will receive 1 token and send 10000 NEX. Acccept/Deny" But to be fair, if you need a very complex smart contract, you will have a harder time writing it in Nexa's language than ETH, since most developers are comfortable with full turing machines.

>Why did you go with The supply in Satoshis (finest unit), and the inflation schedule is exactly the same as Bitcoin. We moved the decimal point because people tend to have problems with very small numbers. In other words, 1 BTC is 100 million Satoshis, whereas 1 NEX is 100 Nexa Satoshis. We stuck with the BTC distribution style (fair launched, no unlocks, no founder's coins, no foundations coins, etc) so that jurisdictions that see BTC as a commodity must rationally see Nexa as one as well.

That's the whole thing, just like Celsius had most of its assets in CEL tokens and Alameda/FTX had most of its assets in FTT Tokens, Nexo has most of its assets in NEX tokens. It's exactly the same scheme. I thought that Nexo would be gone by July already but their native token kept up the illusion for long enough that they are solvent.

Thanks for the post. I'm moving some ETH to Celsius and really excited to think I'll be getting free ETH for basically doing nothing. Was also impressed with the security of their app - plenty of email confirmations for each action, 2FA, address whitelisting and 'HODL' mode which is a really cool feature which I'll turn on once I have everything transferred in. [crypto.com](https://crypto.com) has higher rates but not comfortable having to hold large amounts of CRO to get them. $4000 of CRO to get 1% more interest? So basically to make it cost effective over a year I'd need to invest $400k (ignoring any change in CRO price). Ok. Likewise the rates on NEXO requires you to both stake and get paid in NEXO to get the 8% they advertise... However after some extensive digging in order to make sure this response was accurate information it seems you can still get 8% without getting paid in NEXO by having a 3 month fixed term! [https://support.nexo.io/hc/en-us/articles/360020136199-Nexo-Term-Deposits-Explained](https://support.nexo.io/hc/en-us/articles/360020136199-Nexo-Term-Deposits-Explained). Their highest rate is actually an impressive 12% of you go all out with 3 month fixed, 10% NEX stake and opt to get paid in NEX. So I guess I'll be setting up a NEXO account now...

Just realised I forgot to mention the most important. Staking rewards are now about 36% , and 90% of the trading fees are given back to stakers in the paid currency. So on top of your staking rewards, you get a share of the 90% trading fees paid by traders on the exchange in BTC,ETH,NEO,BNB,USDC,BUSD,CEL,NEX,SWTH,etc Not bad for a staking? You just need one coin to get them all

SWTH is a DEX built on Cosmos SDK that just launched futures trading with market makers coming online very soon. It is fully decentralized, and 90% of all trading fees are paid to stakers in the native coin that is traded. This means, everyday, I am earning ETH, WBTC, BUSD, USDC, NEO, CEL, BTC (BEP20), SWTH, NEX, and any new tokens that are listed and traded on DEMEX [app.dem.exchange](https://app.dem.exchange/). There are some really good videos on Youtube, but take them with a grain of salt because many of them use super bullish scenarios for staking rewards. Of course, this is not financial advice. DYOR.

I can suggest you [Nash.io](https://Nash.io) They have built up an exchange on a so-called state channel network. This state channel network connects Bitcoin, Ethereum and NEO. Coins from these chains are available, unwrapped. With their Layer 2 network they can assure that the user is always in control of the private key for each chain. It is simply not possible for nash to block your withdraws from the Layer 2 network. In other words it is an non custodial exchange. With their Layer 2 network and exchange they can match the speed of a CEX like Binance, Kraken or Coinbase. One of their companies philosophy is compliance. Nash is working with regulators to assure a perfect experience without any worries for the customer. They also have a security token called NEX, which also states their mindset towards regulation. In comparison to Binance there is lack of volume. With trading competitions and growth they are aiming to solve this problem. But liquidity is there. For the main pairs there is no slippage. That is the important thing. By the way they also offer the cheapest fiat on/off ramp in Europe (they currently focus on the EU). From their Layer 2 the fee is for on and off ramp 0%! If there are any questions please reach out, I'm happy to answer questions.

Ok, so I staked about 12.5k SWTH and in about one day here are my results: Celsius 0 CEL Ethereum 0.000001002384654667 ETH Nash Exchange (ERC-20) 0.00006493 NEX nNEO 0.00000385 nNEO Switcheo 28.15059039 SWTH Circle USD 0.001061 USDCWrapped BTC 0 WBTC Funny story. When I went to buy the SWTH I made a limit order and it didn't get filled for 3 hours. So I went to cancel. Turns out every little action you preform on the exchange costs 1 SWTH, including canceling an open order. So customer support was kind enough to throw me a SWTH to get out of the trade and reenter at market price. Moral of the story, keep some SWTH in reserve to do stuff. In my case I had ETH so I didn't have any SWTH, I dunno, it was weird.
