You're just throwing out words without a fundamental understanding of what you're talking about. In a world where millions of tons of hydrogen are stored in vessels, transported via pipeline, and used at a varying range of states (liquid/ gaseous), pressures, and temperatures, surely you don't truly believe there aren't solutions for hydrogen embrittlement out on the market today. Your standard 316 stainless steel shows sufficient resistance towards embrittlement at most pressures, such that it's used in most process piping. As you get to higher pressures, A286 and Nitronic-50 are suitable candidates. As far as leakage sure, hydrogen being a small molecule at higher pressures and cold temps is harder to manage, but the progress in sealing compounds has increased significantly in the last 5 years alone. Significant efforts have been put towards leak point reductions across the entire hydrogen infrastructure. Finally, round trip efficiency? Most heavy duty cases hydrogen out performs electric point blank period. Hydrogen takes less time to fuel, and has efficiency comparable to diesel. It is in that area, they just throw parts at things, I didn't care because it was "free" under warranty. None of the camera feeds worked, the headlights were stuck "on" and the GPS and LTE connection were not operational. The whole screen was black looking(the map was black). I could not even check in automatically for my service appointment, because it thought the car was still at my house - normally you drive your car to the service lot and "check in" yourself on the app. I had to walk in and they put in an override. Like I said, I just remembered "LH Drive computer" as a primary component that was replaced. I know they had to rip the entire dashboard out because it was fucked up after they fixed the car, there was a stress line where it had been bent to a point where the material got a crease in it. They certainly took out the screen, drive computer, and replaced it all.

Heavy trucks, large boats, etc have a future in hydrogen. Commuter cars on hydrogen are dead. Completely. I work in midstream O&G and chemicals. We build deal with LH2 and renewables all the time. NREL see's zero future for commuter fleets run on hydrogen.

LOHC are pretty safe (large aromatic rings chained together that are hydrogenated and then dehydrogenated). They can be stored at ambient, have a flash point thats like 100 degC. The potential hazards are basically the same as with diesel, and a plus side is that existing diesel infrastructure is compatible with LOHCs. Drawbacks are the large energy cost associated with the hydrogenation and dehydrogenation steps. It adds like $1.5-2/kg to the final cost of Hydrogen. It takes a lot of heat to dehydrogenate LOHCs, maybe that could be from a waste heat stream at site partially, but its a big drawback. These molecules degrade after cycling, and all of that mass (dehydrogenated LOHC) has to be shipped back to the H2 production site to rehydrogenate it. Shipping all that mass raises costs for the operation. Companies involved hope to offset that cost with cheaper equipment and greater safety. There is a similar problem with ammonia as an intermediate. It has to be formed in the haber bosch process under high heat and pressure and then broken down to use the hydrogen. The reconversion step of NH3 -> N2 and H2 is substantially cheaper than LOHC dehydrogenation (source: iea.org/reports/the-future-of-hydrogen). But, ammonia can be shipped as a liquid at ~ -30 degF, and weve been doing this for decades so its proven tech. Ammonia is toxic, which is a big safety concern. Shipping liquid hydrogen (technologically challenging, -423 deg F, flammable, deep cryogenic) requires 0 reconversion cost, but the liquefaction of H2 is a complicated process. Hydrogen is uniquely light, its quantum spin state switches from 75/25 ortho/para hydrogen down to 99% para when at -423, and it has to be catalytically flipped to para during the liquefaction process to drive off the heat, since switching from ortho to para releases a *lot* of heat, driving up the cost you have to put into the compressors in the liquefier. Once in the tank, current proven LH2 tanks are super efficient (see Nasa who has used CB&I LH2 tanks for decades). The real problem is the piping. So much more of the boiloff losses come from piping, pumping, and operation, so having a super cold fluid has its own challenges. Also, hydrogen can gassify and leak, its ignition threshold is lower than a static spark, lots of potential hazards. Uninsulated pipe with liquid on it can liquefy air. In the long run, the IEA and big energy companies see that forecasts put LH2 as at least slightly outcompeting compared to ammonia or LOHCs for import/export.

I was associated with the HyStra project, the first liquid hydrogen shipment from Australia to Japan. Makes sense because Japan is so energy insecure. We dont see import export terminals on the scale of LNG until late 2020s early 2030s simply due to every equipment piece involved never having been built on that scale (particularly for LH2). Everyones scared to bite the bullet if a market never appears.

Thanks. I went with DGX over LH but both are big in the D2C lab market either directly or as backends to other retail lab services. TDOC, TALK, and GDRX are acting like tech companies and buying market share so I expect losses to continue until the market matures and some of the players either exit or are acquired.

The only thing different from a 2012 and a 2024 is the grill being replaced with a flat front in 2016; the rest of the car is identical to the 2012. The rest of the changes are a self-driving bit which doesn't work and got them sued, less range in the batteries, and a plaid mode so you can burn out what little range is left. Most changes are fixes for fuck ups. In a 12 year run, there's been 1 cosmetic change, and a lot of fixing the original's fuck ups. Still it's first generation. In comparison, the F series started in it's 13th generation, went completely through it's 14th generation, and is now in it's fourteenth generation. Even the Ram was in it's fourth generation (technically, since the Ram name wasn't used on trucks until 1981; Dodge trucks have been around since before WWI), and even Chrysler brought something into a new generation with the fifth generation. Even Chevrolet, was in their second generation when The S came out, went through third generation, and is now into the fourth of the Silverado nameplate (again, Chevy had trucks going back decades, but adopted the Silverado name in 1999; making multiple generations prior using another name, mentioned because you are a Tesla fan, and thus failed middle school due to your drug problems). Completely new chassis, new drivetrains, everything. The honda Civic was in it's 9th gen, went through 10th, and now in it's 11th generation, during the time the S in in it's first generation. Most cars, unless it's Chrysler (LY has it's bones in the LX, which in turn was derived off the LH with incompetently engineered Nazi-Benz garbage stuffed in, so dating back to 1993) or Nissan (400Z is a 350Z with lipstick and a bigger displacement motor so 2002) are completely replaced within that time frame at least once, often twice. Simple tip if you want to try something new Identify macro trend (currently we are bearish) An eye for HH LH / LH LL , WMA Start with 1000$ , use 4 % per trade , 25 leverage (since you want to degen and leverage ) focus on 3/8 Risk reward ration , basically 25% on chart take 50% profits of margin, move stop loss to break even . Stick to 3 or 4 coins / trade in both direction to protect capital , aka HEDGE your trades. I usually trade on ABC's 12345 structures . Fap before you get the feeing of getting into more positions ,check the chart again and ask your self is this a good trade? post nut clarity is legit . Forget about this 1k u threw into leverage trading , get some over time hours at work , and think of this 1k as an investment into knowledge from wasting time on understanding charts . I’m not even close to knowing much about things like Trailing Stops but just did some research and that’s an interesting idea, thanks! For a stock like LH (Labcorp) would you put a Trailing Stop Loss at something like 10% then? That way, if it keeps going up I’ll always get the max price -10% or would you think 10% was too high for a sluggish stock like that? I am thinking that using this for some stock at.a lower percentage when the earnings announcement comes out might be good protection too. I checked and my broker has TS Limits and Losses as %age and $ amounts as an option. TIA!

Unless some major legislation like Obama care comes along and disrupts it, I view Healthcare as a fairly bullet-proof investment. My only large healthcare position is LH but I've been considering an ETF in that sector.
