I've found myself attempting to combat bots by upvoting all the posts I see sitting at zero. Why? Someone downvoted \*several\* hours ago with the sole purpose of making sure that post didn't "earn" karma/Moons, despite their post not being wrong or toxic somehow. This sub is a weird little cesspool and they don't know it yet. Focusing on "Moons" makes sure that the content of your sub is so shitty that downvoting \*BOTS\* have a say in the community.
If the daily was its own subreddit, it would be the 5th busiest subreddit on reddit, sorted by the number of comments. An enormous amount of these comments are being posted by a very small proportion of the users, for the sole purpose of lining their own pockets. In the last week alone we've seen... 1) Countless examples of users copy pasting comments for moons 2) the 19th highest earner of the current distribution being struck off the list and banned for industrial grade plagiarism (through which he would have earned more than 1,000 USD in moons, if he'd got away with it) 3) actual factual BOTS posting generic comments every minute, and occasionally malfunctioning which leads to them getting caught 4) users operating 1 or more alts and switching between them to post near identical comments simultaneously (double dipping for karma) 5) one single user accounting for more than 2% of the daily threads comments (3 hours into a new daily) It is going to get worse. In the next month you are going to see a huge influx of new users from developing countries, 'grinding' the daily, copy pasting from the same cheat sheet in unison, the same comments every minute, over and over again, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, forever. The Moon ratio will plummet. I'd also expect the price to tank, as most of these users will be grinding moons as a source of immediate income, not a speculative long term hodl. This is what the daily really needs saving from.
I was thinking about this too. I had a post with 70 comments with no upvotes shown. That's when I realized that DOWNVOTE BOTS are a thing. I trust that people are upvoting my post, it's just that the BOTS keep pulling the number down. So yeah, to answer OP's question, it's probably bots/or people don't want to upvote the post.

Okay, so, BTC dominance is the impact BTC has on the crypto sphere. So that's why if BTC has slow steady movement alts flourish. BTC has has like 43% impact on the complete cryptospace. So if BTC tanks everything tanks, if BTC moves up quickly.. eveything tanks as well. Algos/Bots are basically sophisiticated computer programs daytrading 24/7. That's also what brings in Volume etc. Now these are pretty simple, price goes up X% sell, if price goes down X% Sell. A plunge like this probably cause a complete liquidation of assets, that's why it also rebounded pretty fast - BOTS.
