let's see if I find anything decent after the Battlefield 2042 disappointment...I've been playing BF for 15 years and this is the biggest crap that EA / DICE has ever done...they shouldn't have called it Battlefield because it has nothing to do with it with previous titles...
All of those can also be done without NFTs. What unique property do they provide that would make people want to switch? For example. DICE app handles unique tickets already and it’s very easy to transfer ownership. Plus a ton of other perks. It’s already solved

Also it means loosing money by buying another battlefield which DICE marketed as a cool successor, but turned out to be even worse than last year’s
I'll give you a really good example that isn't well known. Etheroll (DICE). It was one of the earliest dAPPS on the Ethereum blockchain, predates cryptokitties. The concept was simple. You had a 100 sided die, you picked a number betweeen 2 and 99 and then picked over or under and then it would pay out depending on the result. So if you picked Over 50, 51-99 would net you a win. House had a 1% edge. Any winnings the casino made would be paid out to the holders of the DICE token as dividends. If you held 10% of the DICE tokens, you got 10% of the profits. Why it failed? Centralized casinos are just better and have better games. A lot of centralized casinos now accept crypto. Decentralized gambling can take off but you need a very liquid market to succeed.
Reminder that Etheroll is shutting down after a pretty long run and will distribute around 20k ETH to token holders, 0.0032 ETH per DICE token. It's being traded in super low volume, but if you can grab some of the cheaper ones, there is a kind of arbitrage opportunity for scrappy people, plus an estimated 20% of the overall amount that gets redistributed because people fail to collect/can't access their wallet or something. People are likely willing to cash out at a cheaper rate too if the liquidity is too low, so asking in the sub is probably the way to go if anyone wants to go for a trade.

OG dapp Etheroll is closing down by Feb 2022. It still has ~20,000 ETH to distribute to DICE holders which will happen in Nov 2021 and Feb 2022. Such a shame but a great journey. Hi, I'm looking for some help, I apparently have a considerable ammount of DICE on Yobit from a few years back I guess when I was just getting any shit coin you could imagine. Apparently it's value rose after some time and I have almost 0.1 bitcoins on it. I'm really just looking to convert it to BTC or anything else and move them to my wallet but DICE market is basically dead on Yobit.
