Maybe because this is a bitcoin sub, and the more your write, the more problems of centralisation i see with "PAD"... Okay, last try: Is a PAD network a network with a distributed ledger (every node has the transaction history)? If it is, data needs time to travel through the network (propagation). Now imagine this: I have a UTXO that can be unlocked and spent using a key. I build two transaction spending the same UTXO, but the receiver is different in each transaction. Now i publish these transaction to two different nodes of the network at the same time. The nodes will start to relay the TX to other nodes until one node receives both tx. How do we decide which transaction will be part of the transaction history? In Bitcoin this problem is solved by POW. The TX that gets included in a block first, is the valid one, the other one will be dropped. Bitcoin can do this, because its blockchain includes a timestamp-consensus (thats why the bitcoin blockchain is also called "timechain"). From what i understand PAD has no blockchain and therefore no sense of time. Therefore this decision cannot be made by looking at timestamps... This is the question i asked like 6 posts ago. Your idea seems very flawed to me. Just like POA, POS, PODA and all the other marketing terms shitcoin projects made up in the last couple of years...

I keep explaining how the PAD network works and you keep asking a question about a non-PAD network. Okay so, in a non-PAD network, a double spend attack causes a hard fork because nobody can see which transaction came first. But again, that's not how the PAD network works.

In other words, how does a node without any transaction history distinguish between the genuine transaction history and fakes? That's a fantastic question, especially because I focused so hard on the double spend problem that I never thought to think about it. In Bitcoin, all genuine transactions trace back to one or more coinbase transactions but without mining there won't be any coinbase transactions, which means no coins! Actually there would have to exist a single coinbase transaction from which all coins originate, the genesis transaction. That's all you would need to validate the entire transaction history and it should be included in every genuine copy of the wallet app that implements the PAD protocol, which should be downloadable for free from a secure website with SHA and MD5 checksums.

Yeh they are similar to cake in the way that they can just keep minting more tokens to fuel the incentives. But this is not sustainable in the long run. A Token I’ve seen which has a solution to this is TOAD and their utility token $PAD. Both these tokens have a hard capped supply and have a vault which holds a basket of other crypto’s to give the token a backing in a similar way to OHM’s treasury. However, they do not mint more tokens to fuel Incentives, but instead use DPLP, which keeps the farms liquid forever through a 10% fee which 7.5% of this goes back to the farm, and 2.5% feeds the vault, increasing the backing. I do not see on toad.network where it is possible to stake your BTC without joining a liquidity pool which would involve sending your BTC as a BEP-20 token and risking impermanent loss. I only see the option to stake and earn PAD but I am not sure I would be willing to risk my BTC in a PAD/BTC Liquidity pool. With how many actual products they have TOAD/PAD should be at least at 100M mcap. Being at under 10M is absolutely criminal. Funny you are mentioning TOAD, since they just launched their MOVR cross chain. The smart thing woth yield farming is that you will automatically DCA if you compound it. All farms at padswap (Toad networks own exhange) will earm you PAD (look at it as CAKE but hard cap). And now there are also launching a PAD only farm, that lets you get ROI on your ROI! Toaded.

Padswap.exchange either on the BSC or MOVR network have awesome APYs and they’re bridging more projects to allow for new pools. Hey man, If you want a long term project to invest in that doesn’t strive for major pump and dumps costing investors to lose out, then check out padswap.exchange through toad.network. $TOAD and $PAD are the two coins in the project. $TOAD has a max supply cap at 195k coins (currently at 178k circulating) and $PAD has 200b max cap (currently around 50b, with the rest getting dripped over the next 9-10 years) A brief overview of the project: 1) DPLP - they have created a perpetual liquidity project that allows for money to constantly be going back into the rewards pools for their investors. This is all based off smart contracts so if the devs (developers of the project) want to make money on this, then they too need to become and investor and can’t leech off of them like the pancake swap and other swaps devs do. 2) The Vault - The Vault is an ETF backed vault full of different currencies such as Bitcoin, ETH, BNB, etc that allows for such diversity, that it is essentially impossible for it to crash.
