He stated a fact, and rather than elaborating your point, as you've done here, you called him out his depth. IBIT "holds bitcoins on behalf of millions of investors". Cool. So does MSTR. Its a public company and shareholders have beneficial ownership. There is no MSTR "holding bitcoins for themselves." The board has a fiduciary duty to the shareholders. Saylor ain't even CEO. The difference you're getting worked up about isn't "ownership," it's structure. Has MSTR's financing and capital structure created systems/incentives that could create a self reinforcing spiral down as easily as up? That's a real question that would require reading through the covenants of his secured paper, building a flow of funds waterfall in XLS and then running a pivot table for scenario analysis. Have at it, Mr. Depth!

Buy a little every week. It is always time to buy. Test this strategy on an XLS and you will see. I see it as wealth protection, not as investment. Save a little of good money every day for the future no matter the media and SEC and whoever say. It's your wealth, not theirs.

There's two new features coming XRPL: "XLS-30 will bring a native Automated Market Maker to the XRPL that integrates with the existing order book DEX to enable trading of digital assets in automated liquidity pools and enable developers to address a wider audience of DeFi stakeholders. – reads the announcement. The clawback feature, on the other hand, is designed to allow for an opt-in capability for newly issued assets to be clawed back through a trustline. It cannot be used to claw back XRP – that’s an important clarification."

tldr; The relevant text for the article title is: "A novel automated market maker (AMM), also known as the XLS-30, is one of the amendments expected to be made to the XRP Ledger when the rippled version 1.12 is released on September 11, 2023. As noted by pro-XRP financial consultant Panos Mekras, the AMM proposal, if passed, will allow XRP holders “to earn, for the first time, income on-chain.” An AMM is a decentralized exchange (DEX) where traders can buy and sell crypto assets. However, unlike what is attainable in a centralized exchange (CEX), users do not trade with other people but directly through the liquidity pool. The liquidity pool is one of the ways XRP holders are expected to make passive income from this venture, as they can act as liquidity providers and provide their tokens to the liquidity pools while they earn trading fees in return based on the level of liquidity provided." Summary (600 characters): The upcoming release of rippled version 1.12 for the XRP Ledger will introduce a novel automated market maker (AMM) called XLS-30. If approved, this AMM will allow XRP holders to earn income on-chain by acting as liquidity providers in the decentralized exchange (DEX) and earning trading fees. This update aims to expand the use case of XRPL and attract major DeFi projects to the network, potentially increasing the demand for XRP tokens. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. >Even if banks "adapted" xrp. THEY WON'T REALLY USE XRP but another coin will be used, and xrp are just used for confirmation Bank A, B and C join Ripplenet, each create their own coin. now in order for them to enable trading using their own coins they need to * create the liquidity required between all 3 of them. * each now need to hold each others coin to facilitate trade which locks up capital that would be working capital otherwise * drive volume and accept each others token at face value. the issue gets worse the more banks you add, The other solution is they could just use a bridge asset to solve all of those problems for them (like XRP) >There's really no use for xrp you can argue it can also be like bitcoin as a store of value but why not just buy bitcoin? It's safer and more decentralized. Bridge asset which provides liquidity and enables trade. Bitcoin is 2 slow, 2 costly and you have to end up with Bitcoin in the end. if I do business with my partners in Thailand and I use a lot of Thai Baht, I dont want to have to keep paying large fees converting Bitcoin with a partner bank in Thailand, just so I can pay my business partners. Multiply this issue by each company and each country they do business in. Suddenly it becomes a massive cost/headache all because I wanted to try and use Bitcoin which does a poor job of solving this problem for me. it instead seems to create more problems instead of solving them with this use case. BTC https://i.imgur.com/sYKdwdv.jpg XRP https://i.imgur.com/4iu05Tt.jpg tell me which is more decentralized. >When i was a fan boy most of xrp are under ripple labs and wether we like it or not they need to sell some for whatever reason, and we get affected. they affect themselves the most tho, so its in their best interest to increase price no decrease it. Them being the largest holder gives them the power to shoot themselves in the foot the most. >Im not sure if that stellar lumens guy already sold his xrp stack, but when i was a fan boy, he was dumping regularly, and it hurts. https://bithomp.com/explorer/rEhKZcz5Ndjm9BzZmmKrtvhXPnSWByssDv here is jeds wallet he has 157.68 Total XRP left. There is no Correlation between Jeds sales and price appreciation or depreciation. his sales were structed purely off of daily volume so that he was only allowed to sell a drop into the ocean of volume every day. >It's already at 41b marketcap if its at ath, it will be at 160b+ marketcap. Possible? Yes, it is, but I'll just buy eth if i need like a x2 or x3 and eth has more use case Eth is between a 2-3X ATH. XRP at current price of 78cents is 5x from ATH. With Hooks, NFTs, XLS-30 there is actually nothing Eth can do that XRP cant. and in fact with how the automated market maker functions the XRPL there are many things ETH wont be able to do that XRP does.

Spoiler alert: most if not all CBDCs will just be "side/private" ledgers on the XRPL. All control of said side ledgers going to the central banks of each country. Cross border transactions will be done via XRP. Assets will probably be their own side ledgers as well such as a gold smelter issuing tokens representing 1g, 1z, and/or 1kg of X% purity gold as they process gold into bars, destroying tokens as they sell them. You can buy XAU (XAU is currently on the XRPL) and either hold it (meaning the smelter will store your share in their vaults) or you trade your token with the smelter's website and they'll mail it anywhere in the world (I forget who pays insurance, probably you). I mean, this is r/cryptocurrency so I'll probably get down voted, but this really is how it's gonna play out. You want to be holding XRP. I almost guarantee no other asset or token will appreciate as much as XRP between now and in the short, medium, and long term. And I haven't even gone into XLS-30d, aka Automated Market Maker. You won't need to sell your XRP, ever. Own *pure liquidity*. Fuck I just gave myself a hard-on..

There may be some that might be cheaper/faster (IE nano) but they cant do the other things. and there might be others that Allow for complex transactions/smart contracts IE ETH. but they arent as fast or cheap to operate. OMG they classified Institutional sales, sales that had an actual contract with post sales obligations. Everyone OMG it's salacious. LMFAO. Anyone with a modicum of Intelligence following this case for 3+ years knew direct sales would qualify for section 5. Ironically those contracts that explicitly prevented dumping on retailers will now be the reason Ripple can't use the escrow in the US. But that's an absolute massive win for retailers because Ripple will have to source XRP direct from the open market for ODL service in the US. The AMM XLS 30 amendment will let retail have a piece of US ODL transactions sources from the AMM.

How is it centralized? Ripple is only in control of distribution until XLS 30 AMM then the escrow will be automated. The technology is clearly decentralized for anyone that actually cares to learn about it. Ripple’s XRP Ledger Is Getting a Sidechain That’s Compatible With Ethereum RippleX developers are currently testing an Ethereum-compatible sidechain and a bridge that will connect it to the XRP Ledger’s mainnet. Kate Irwin By Kate Irwin Oct 17, 2022 2 min read Ethereum and XRP are among the biggest cryptocurrencies by market cap. Image: Shutterstock Ethereum and XRP are among the biggest cryptocurrencies by market cap. Image: Shutterstock Blockchain software company Peersyst has launched an Ethereum-compatible sidechainon the XRP Ledger’s devnet, Peersyst and RippleX announced Monday. Devnets, or developer networks, are separate from a blockchain’s main network, or mainnet, and are used to test and troubleshoot new technologies. This means the Ethereum-compatible sidechain for XRPL is now live, but still in an early phase. The sidechain uses the coding language Solidity, the same code that is used to program applications and smart contracts on the Ethereum network and other Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) blockchains, such as Avalanche. But unlike Ethereum, the XRPL sidechain uses XRP as its native currency. Ripple CTO David Schwartz said over a year ago in September 2021 that an EVM-compatible chain on the XRPL was in the works. “Sidechains make it easy for developers to customize the chain for their use cases,” Schwartz previously wrote on Twitter, adding that “Bringing Ethereum smart contracts to the XRPL could lower the barriers to entry for developers to build powerful DeFi apps with cross-chain interoperability.” But Ripple is looking to do more than just enable Ethereum-based smart contracts. It launched its own NFT protocol for the XRPL, the XLS-20, on its devnet back in January, a move which allows developers to launch NFTs directly onto the XRPL mainnet. The XLS-20 technology was approved to launch on the XRPL mainnet on September 13 but is not yet live. "We are optimistic for the eventual adoption of XLS-20 and are thankful the community is so dedicated to a secure and trustworthy rollout," a Ripple spokesperson told Decrypt. "Security is fundamental especially in a time where industry wide exploits have become a regular occurrence." Want to be a crypto expert? Get the best of Decrypt straight to your inbox. Your Email Get it! For those looking to potentially move assets between XRPL’s EVM sidechain and its main ledger, a bridge between the networks has also been launched and is in its early stages. Why not make XRPL’s mainnet EVM-compatible? In a blog post Monday, Ripple Software Engineer Mayukha Vadari argued that such a move “could undermine its efficiency, scalability and security.” Vadari also shared that the second phase of the EVM sidechain project is set to occur early next year, and phase three will bring the EVM chain to the XRPL mainnet at a currently undetermined date.

4. XLS 20 goes live in 10 days. NFTs markets kick off that have been in development for years.

That would be the uninformed thing to do. Ripple will IPO immediately following the case. Also XLS 30 will be going from testnet to public soon. Buy the low and hodl until billions of XRP are locked in Defi and market makers buy up to get spreads for institutions using ODL.

XRP, SOLO, ELS The last two will be excellent returns when XLS20 NFTs go live on XRPL.

Nope, we have NFts going live public oct 27 and then full L1 smart contracts when XLS30 is voted for hooks are live on testnet.

XLS 20 goes live in a few days XLS 30 is right behind that. Nfts with more functionality than other chains and hooks to call smart contracts that can be made with any programming language. You're uninformed, Xumm by itself was 300k-950k daily active users down to 150-200k in the bear market. When upgrades go live it'll be millions.

Hooks on XRPL+ XLS30 amendment is going to be the combo that eats ETHs lunch. Defi on XRPL will be different from Ethereum erc20.

With the XLS 20 and 30 amendments that number will grow as more of the 750+ nodes upgrade to 1.5.9 to not be amendment blocked so yes XRP is more decentralized than Ethereum. Also nodes do not control transaction inclusion or ordering processes like the EVM. So Billions extracted from users through MEVs is not possible. When's the last time someone got transactions censored by a 3rd party on XRPL? never heard of it.

That would be pretty stupid to do before the Ripple IPO, and XLS 20 and XLS30 go live.

So you're equating wealth distribution with whether or not the technology is decentralized. Good job not understanding Jack. The escrow is cryptographic and soon to be decentralized when XLS 30 AMM goes live.

BTC is not the only decentralized cryptocurrency. When was the last time a transaction was censored on XRPL? XRPL also doesn't require 3rd party middlewares to stop rampant theft. The network determines which nodes overlap the greatest % of the network if nodes reach the thresholds it's added to consensus and amendment voting. The number will grow with the amendments XLS 20 and XLS 30 that require the majority to upgrade or be amendment blocked. XRPL is decentralized it doesn't require you to understand that. It's clear to anyone that is actually familiar with it.

XLS 30 upgrade for AMM auctions, distribution is going to be decentralized when they change the destination addresses for the escrow. Same with how Ripple now only runs 2 of the 35 supermajority validators on the way to 0. Validators should grow with the next big updates once the 750+ nodes all upgrade to the current version to avoid amendment blocks.

Relisting on 300+ exchanges, Ripple will IPO shortly after, ODL service rollout in US, institutional investment, XLS30 XLS20 upgrades locking up billions of XRP, Ripple hub going live with banks in the US. All good reasons for an extended XRP rally. A win for Ripple means legal clarity for not only XRP but the entire market. Ripple winning could get a Bullrun started just from Ripplehub. Banks can purchase and custody all crypto assets for their customers with a bit of ripple software.

>ripplenet does not equal xrp Ripplenet via ODL uses XRP to settle payments and provide liquidity. so depending on the usage, it does. >even if financial institutions use ripplenet this doesn't create buy demand for xrp ah see this is where you're wrong. Many are using ODL which is a part of Ripplenet. and with liquidity hub launching soon, it actually means there will be even more options/usage via Ripplenet. >xrp is fully pre-mined and only half of it is in circulation how to prove yourself wrong in the same sentence. 100% is in circulation because it was 100% premined. what a 3rd party chooses to do with their XRP doesnt remove it from circulation. no more than if I chose to escrow lock my BTC/ETH up... > this is sell pressure. More newly mined bitcoin is sold by the miners into BTCs ecosystem then Ripple sells of XRP. And it isnt new XRP being created, its been there since the beginning. > xrp is not yield-bearing the XLS-30 amendment and FLR disagree. >there is no incentive to hold it outside of speculation #1 usage in real world applications worldwide out of any crypto. oof. Im glad you replied with nothing of substance and the usual incorrect nonsense. care to try again?

Considering after this case it'll be the only L1 being used outside of crypto for its utility with legal clarity. No one knows how high it could go. There are 49 Billion in circulation the rest are in cryptographic escrow. You got XLS 30 about to bring AMM Defi and XLS 20 Nfts which together potentially lock tens of Billions of xrp off order books.

Agreed, XLS 20 and XLS 30 will be major when they go live. Defi AMM on xrpl will be safer than the whole Ethereum ecosystem. Smart contracts that can scale, use any programming language, and a L1 that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to use let alone all the exploits with ETH VM

This is exactly why XLS30 on XRPL is going to give Ethereum a run for it's money where other ETH killers have not. XRPL has the first and largest L1 orderbook dex that actually works. Combine L1 orderbook with XLS 30 and all the problems with Eth EVM security and scaling are gone. Any programming language will be available not just Solidity. L1 will be able to scale, any smart contracts can be called with a hook transaction. All the security issues that are a problem with ETH based EVM aren't possible with XRPL. Node operators do not have control over transaction inclusion or ordering processes like they do in ETH based EVM.

That was bad. You’d think they’d use something more suited to the purpose such as Oracle or SQL Server but no. Using the old XLS file format didn’t help matters! Much of the time cutting corners like this comes down to cost and not having the knowledge in house to manage it properly. Sadly doing things ‘on the cheap’ so often ends up being a disaster. It’s truly scary that a financial company like Celsius would even dream of running their business on MS Excel. It has me wondering what sketchy crap the banks are doing on the quiet. Even with regulation and legal requirements traditional banks will be cutting corners any way they can too.

Well yes as is traditional in crypto. XLS 20 and XLS 30 are huge though, years in the making. Can't forget XRP was delisted from 350 ish exchanges before the lawsuit it was on track to have more exchange infrastructure than ETH+ BTC combined. Annnnd Ripple is going to IPO post lawsuit bringing its Ripplenet ODL service that uses public XRP gateways Into a $250-$350 Billion net profit annual market run by a handful of mega banks with an entirely inferior service, so yeah buying the news.
