FADE IN: EXT. NEW YORK CITY - DAY The city is bustling with people going about their day. Suddenly, the sky darkens, and a giant shadow covers the city. The camera pans up to reveal Elon Musk, AKA Doge Daddy, on a giant spaceship shaped like a Doge coin. DOGE DADDY: "Attention, citizens of Earth! Your crypto overlords have arrived!" Cut to Satoshi Nakamoto, AKA Satoshi Nakamoto, in a secret underground bunker. He receives an alert on his computer. SATOSHI NAKAMOTO: "It's happening." Cut to Vitalik Buterin, AKA The Prodigy, sitting in front of a computer screen, analyzing the situation. THE PRODIGY: "We need to act fast. Musk is summoning an army of Doge shills to promote his latest scam coin." Cut to Michael Saylor, AKA Michael Whaler, in his office, holding a massive bag of Bitcoin. MICHAEL WHALER: "I'm ready to hold the line." Cut to Nayib Bukele, AKA El Presidente, standing at the edge of a volcano, ready to unleash his powers. EL PRESIDENTE: "This is going to get hot." Cut to Gary Gensler (Pre 2022), AKA The Educator, addressing a crowd of people about the dangers of crypto. THE EDUCATOR: "We need to educate the public about the risks involved in investing in cryptocurrency." Suddenly, the scene is interrupted by a news report. NEWS ANCHOR: "In other news, Warren Buffett, AKA The Veteran, has acquired a significant stake in several crypto companies." Cut to Warren Buffett, AKA The Veteran, sitting in his office. THE VETERAN: "I've been around long enough to know a good investment when I see one." Cut to Jim Cramer, AKA Zoltar, watching the news report. ZOLTAR: "I see great things in the future of crypto." Cut to Sam Bankman-Fried, AKA The Fraudster, walking into a bank with a briefcase full of cash. BANK TELLER: "How can I help you?" THE FRAUDSTER: "I'd like to make a deposit." Suddenly, the bank explodes, and The Fraudster disappears. Cut back to the heroes preparing for battle. SATOSHI NAKAMOTO: "We need to stop them before it's too late." THE PRODIGY: "I have a plan." MICHAEL WHALER: "Let's do this." EL PRESIDENTE: "It's time to unleash the power of the volcano." THE EDUCATOR: "Let's educate the world about the dangers of these villains." Cut to the villains, preparing for battle. DOGE DADDY: "Let's show these plebs the power of the Doge army." THE VETERAN: "I've been waiting for a challenge like this." ZOLTAR: "I see victory in our future." THE REGULATOR: "I will enforce the rules of the land." The heroes and villains face off in an epic battle, with each side unleashing their powers. Satoshi Nakamoto's unknown abilities are revealed, and he single-handedly takes down Doge Daddy's spaceship. The Prodigy solves the blockchain trilemma, weakening The Veteran's immortality. Michael Whaler holds the line against The Fraudster's disappearing act, and El Presidente unleashes a massive eruption from the volcano, taking down Zoltar. The Educator convinces the public to stop investing in crypto, causing The Regulator to lose his powers. In the end, the heroes emerge victorious, and the villains are brought to justice. Satoshi Nakamoto reveals that he had been working behind the scenes, gathering information on the villains and their plans. He thanks the heroes for their bravery and teamwork in stopping the villains' evil plans. As the heroes celebrate their victory, The Educator suggests they continue working together to educate the public about the risks and benefits of cryptocurrency. They all agree to work together and ensure that crypto is used responsibly and for the greater good. FADE OUT.

so, basically what you are describing is a DeX? Every feature you mention, is already there in the DeX. SK's solution is rather simple. I commented in that post. The assets of company should be seperated in two accounts: 1. customer funds 2. company assets. Whatever funds the customers are deposited will stay only in account 1, while the trading fees and all other things which is earned or owned by exchange will remain in 2. An external audit will always ensure that customer funds can't be used by exchange for any purpose like lending, staking or gambling. Staking should be done by customers only using the exchanges, and exchange should just get the percentage of staking as a service provided. I don't want exchange using my funds to stake at 20% APR in ANCHOR without my permission.

More maritime law references... The ANCHOR for CURRENCIES and cash FLOW. The central BANKing system can go. The central banks are the slave ships of all of humanity. I don't believe a perfect utopia is possible but I know we would all be better off with free banking.

Ok, let's assume that the Citadel rumors are actually true, and not just the frantic invocation of the degenerate ape bogeyman by people who are desperately in need of an enemy to fight, rather than the terrifying prospect that they're simply adrift in a sea of forces that could turn and squash them on an irrational whim. If throwing less than a billion dollars at a $40 billion project in a manner that's entirely built within the smart contract and utilizes the arbitrage mechanism of the protocol in exactly the way it's intended to be used causes the entire protocol to spontaneously combust, then it's absolutely market forces. Any yokel coder could have set that shit off with an AAVE flash loan if they wanted. Or, the inevitable exodus from UST that would have been prompted when the ANCHOR fund started to dry up would have prompted it on its own. Think about it like this. You build a building. You put a lot of effort into this building, and you're getting people to invest in renting out space in the building, it's looking like it's going to be a profitable venture. Then someone comes along and slams the door too hard, and the whole thing falls over and catches fire. Do you blame the person who slammed the door, or do you look at the pile of rubble and think "That shit wouldn't have survived the first strong breeze that came along?"

You paint a picture which is emotional and inaccurate You make it sound like "CELSIUS HAD SO MUCH MONEY ON ANCHOR. THEY MANAGED TO GET OUT JUST IN TIME! CLOSE ONE!" But in reality the picture seems to be much different. I was watching [the CEO of Celsius on InvestAnswer's channel the other day](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPCXS9ychZg) He also touches upon Celsius exposure to the project and apparently nothing happened? What I want to tell you is, I think it's reasonable to be cautious and to evaluate what risks you want to take. It is very reasonable to say "I am not too confident about the risks on these platforms therefore I choose to not engage with them" - a fair, reasonable position. But can we stop with the extreme emotions, and the mood swings, and the panic mode? "THEY LOST 500 MILLION! ALMOST LOST EVERYTHING!" And what does this even mean? >They are doing the same shady shit that lead to the 2009 financial crisis.

As I explained in my other comments opportunity costs and fiat availability are the two primary reasons I buy so often on the regular app even though it isn’t as great of a spot deal. Your fiat is sitting in the exchange meanwhile it could be earning 19.5% apy on Anchor equaling over 7 days for a 1000$ that equals 3 dollars or .3% of your 1000$ (AND THIS IS ANCHOR NOT EVEN COUNTING THE HIGHER YIELD Stuff I literally took the lowest defi yields I could think of)

Man, ANCHOR is going parabolic, hooking its wagon to Terra. And has been doing so for a month. It's shooting up the MC list. It'll be in the top 25 and at $10 in three/four months, I'm positive.

I always transfer everything to my Ledger and find platforms where I can get an APY through lending (AAVE/ANCHOR/YEARN). I trust the contract and their security. You do not give anyone access to your key with a trustworthy smart contract.

The 2% that Coinbase is giving on DAI seems pretty low for the risk of leaving your coins on a CEX UST is one of if not the most decentralized and safest stable coins on the market. You could be making 20% on your UST holdings by parking it on ANCHOR.

After the Sinclaire Media's "Fake News" monologue that almost EVERY NEWS ANCHOR IN AMERICA recited on-air, I can't believe anything anymore. The boss could say "I want all the news anchors to eat poop on-camera and tell the viewers how good poop tastes" and the anchors would do it (maybe not poop, but I stand by my metaphor).

Great post, this is something that I think about everyday, I think it's important to be objective and not be 100% emotionally invested even if they are your favorite projects. Cosmos (ATOM) is where I am more heavily invested, absolutely love the project and I think it is the future of crypto. Problems would be if it fails to become the Hub for the Cosmos Ecosystem, different projects within Cosmos (Osmosis, Juno, etc.) have used ATOM stakeholders to build up their own sovereign blockchains through the deliverance of airdrops, getting ATOM stakers to invest back into those projects, but many of those projects don't seem to be returning the favor back to the hub or are hesitant when it comes to matters like Shared Security and being otherwise too independent (Though IBC has been implemented by many of them, but here is hoping the fees are paid in ATOM and interchain security is a success) Terra (LUNA) another great project, problem is that it is highly dependent on one single protocol (ANCHOR) paying 20% APY which many consider unsustainable, we are also dealing with their highly popular algorithmic stable coin (UST) which could run into issues with regulators. Osmosis (OSMO) Best DEX I have ever used, it is the most advanced automated market maker (AMM) in crypto today. Problem is that the token is highly inflationary at the current time, but because of it it rewards early adopters with its amazing APR in liquidity pools, but there could be issues with sustainability longer term. Loopring (LRC) Forget the ape hype, Loopring's tech and fundamentals are extremely solid. Problem is that there is a lot of upcoming competition with ZK Rollups, though they do maintain first mover advantage.

Well here's the real kicker with Bitcoin. The ledger is distributed in a decentralised way, but it is still ONE ledger that tells everyone what everyone owns. That's centralisation on another level. There are other ways of having assets not on a ledger. They are called "bearer instruments" and ownership is proof it's yours. And now there's a technology that will enable bearer instruments that ANCHOR to Bitcoin. It's called rgb and will allow the creation of so-called rgb21 assets. Offchain bearer instruments anchored to the base layer or even to LN channels. THAT is amazing... www.rgbfaq.com

What is the catch about ANCHOR? I just found out about ANCHOR and that by staking it you get 20% APY, pretty much effortlessly?! Plus it is an stable asset. I mean why the hell do I have any money in the bank?! What is the catch? Just seem too easy
