I received the same offer for my OCCIDENTAL PETE CORP Warrant 08/03/2027, which I have in my self directed 401k and was researching about it earlier. The offer was: **OCCIDENTAL PETE C 27 WTSWARRANTS EXERCISE EXP: 03/31/2**5. I'm an engineer and am not a financial expert, but this is my understanding: 1. The warrant expires 08/03/2027 and has a strike price of $22, meaning on 08/03/2027 I can buy a share of OXY for $22 for each warrant I have. So if the price falls below $22 on 08/03/2027, the warrant is worthless because I would rather buy OXY shares in the open market since it is cheaper than the strike price of $22. If the price is above $22 on 08/03/2027, I have the option of netting the difference in cash or straight out buying OXY for $22/share. 2. The special offer that expires on 03/31/2025 is the ability to purchase a share of OXY for $21.30/share. If you chose to exercise the option at the reduced $21.30/share price right now, on 03/31/2025 $21.30/warrant will be deducted from the account and you will receive the OXY share on 08/03/2027 (not 100% sure). So you are committing to buy a share right now at a reduced price and that share will not be delivered until 08/03/2027 (not 100% sure). What am I going to do? I am going to research the special offer more and see if I have the interpretation correct. With that said, I will probably sell the warrant in the open market through my brokerage, since OXY is trading for $46.58 and the OXY/WS is trading for $25.16, realizing the time value of the warrant of $0.58/warrant ($25.16 + $22 - 46.58). I've had them all many years. I don't really know if I'd want to buy into them new (that is, I don't follow them closely anymore). I'm not that old, but old enough to think about getting dumber every year, that I can see wanting to move everything to something much simpler to follow (and if I died, my easier for my wife to know what to do with), basic S&P500 and bond index. I'm was gradually paring it down each year (up to about $90k in profit, for a married couple, capital gains are 0% tax). But I've done well enough and my plan so slow, that I'm planning next year to do a massive selloff and just take the huge tax hit, in the name of simplicity, and profit taking. I think that of every 10 stocks I buy: 1 goes essentially bust. 2-3 go slightly neg. 5-6 match the market, and 1 makes the whole group worth it by far. But I can't argue with everyone who says stay with index funds. As I age I get more cautious, and I can't shake the feeling that the market is pretty bloated. But I've ridden that feeling through a few big downturns for good results (the best way to start at the bottom is to be there on the way down...), and I'm ready to get more conservative. It doesn't happen a lot; I trade 100-150 vertical call spreads per year, and it's happened maybe 3 times in the last 2 years. It typically happens when people "buy the dividend" by exercising a long call the day before the ex-dividend date, and your short call gets assigned. I've had it happen a day or two before expiration, but I've also had it happen more than a month before expiration. It's no big deal. If there's no time value left on the long call, just exercise it. If there's still time value left, use the proceeds from the assignment to buy the underlying and sell the long call (as a single order, which your platform may identify as closing a "protective call") to satisfy the assignment. Which the sale of the long call more than covered. If I had just exercised the long call, that wouldn't have been the case.

I have always liked CHEMED CORP since I learned about them years ago. Small company in Ohio - maybe you heard of their brands (roto rooter / vtas). This company I would put in the opposite of short term gains. No debt, building cash pile, some share buy backs low dividends. Some things I have heard: the brands should split into to have better share holder value, or the cash pile should is not being invested well enough to further share holder returns. Basically damned if you do, damned if you don't. When the market has some high flying stocks, and others are slowly gaining but not as fast, people do get disappointed with the stock. I sold 3 covered calls: CALL NIKOLA CORP $1 EXP 03/15/24 NKLA is at $0.72 now and the 3 covered calls I sold are going for $12 instead of $15 I sold them for. I think NKLA is going back up a little bit, so I buy 3 calls that someone else is selling for $12. Now I have 3 I bought for $12 and 3 I sold for $15.
