News to me about the pressure from authorities and changing their media branding. I bought some RUNE back when cake/vik [finished the audit](https://np.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/rlo8cz/cake_wallet_asked_inference_to_audit_thorchains/) of the bridge. But I haven't looked back at THOR since, basically just waiting to hear an update on the bridge and it's implementation

tldr; THORSwap, a decentralized exchange (DEX) on the THORChain network, has paused operations due to the detection of illicitly-linked funds being funneled through the platform. The native token RUNE has dropped 9% in value. THORSwap will remain paused until a more comprehensive security solution is implemented. The platform continues to allow LP actions, Earn, Borrow, and Staking actions. The illicit transactions are believed to be connected to an FTX hack from November 2022. The THOR community has criticized the team's handling of the situation. Some community members suggest taking inspiration from Uniswap's approach to blocking wallets linked to illicit actions. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. tldr; THORSwap's native token, THOR, has seen a surge in value of nearly 300% in recent weeks. This growth has been driven by THORSwap, a cross-chain decentralized exchange (DEX) aggregator built on the THORChain network. THORSwap stands out from other AMM protocols by offering a range of distinctive features, including cross-chain DEX aggregation and integration with 1inch. The THOR token offers traders incentives such as yields, revenue fee sharing, and trading discounts. THORSwap also provides continuous liquidity pools (CLPs) and Impermanent Loss Protection (IPL) to safeguard liquidity providers. THORChain's introduction of Synthetic Assets ("Synths") has further increased demand for THOR tokens and boosted the network's Total Locked Value (TVL). The THORChain ecosystem is gaining recognition and adoption in the DeFi space, positioning it as an industry leader in cross-chain liquidity provision. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. The hackers transferred 503.08 ETH, worth around $870,000, to THORChain before swapping it for BTC. Some of the stolen ether was also bridged to multiple bitcoin addresses using the Swft blockchain. Blockchain security firm Elliptic believes North Korean hacking group Lazarus is behind the attack. THORChain's native token (THOR) remains stable, trading at 84 cents. *This summary is auto generated by a bot and not meant to replace reading the original article. As always, DYOR.*

Passing through a CEX to come back to ledger would be quite expensive. You should try looking at DEXs on Arbitrum or Polygon, even though you would receive a synthetic version of BTC. Consider also THOR chain, to swap directly on the native asset.

Started by GPU mining eth, and have either kept it or swapped in for bitcoin. I transferred about 10% to a cex to just mess around with lower market caps alts. The best winner so far has been THOR, but the bear market put an end to that. I keep the 90% on a Ledger, and hold some other alts like matic and aave, on polygon. But Bitcoin leads the gwei.

2018 was brutal. I almost completely gave up. It was only thru a technical error that I kept a bag of $2500 worth of Vechain. When I came back in 2021, it was worth $60,000, plus $3000 of accumulates THOR. I was able to pay off my car, pay for my dog's medical expenses, put $10,000 into Betterment, $5,000 in savings and had enough left over to buy some decent sized bags of ETH and some Cosmos tokens. I genuinely think those who stuck it out in 2022 will be rewarded, it just may take until 2025 or so.

Most of it is on Thorchain providing liquidity for blue chips. Yield on native btc, yay! Thorswap token (THOR) has insane value acruel, and it plays on the multichain thesis (will be my biggest passive income provider) And it’s not built around token emissions Brokkr.Finance will be a fun one. Later on the roadmap it wil use delta neutral strategies to earn yield. You can stake the token too Provide liquidity on astroport, currently have Xdefi & Orion & Astro pool running, which all pays out in astro, which is great because I’m bullish on the token. For stables I use Anchor & Platypus.finance (stake ptp to get boosted yield) Also Thorchain Those are my most steady ones. Let’s me sleep on my both ears in the bear market, because I’m farming more tokens, and can sell extra tokens for living expenses. A little more risky is to look for farms on AMM’s on Fantom, Solana, Avax & etc to see what brings yield. Some go up to 200% Tho I highly advise you to look up the risk of impermanent loss and such.

Long-time lurker just now commenting in this sub more... Well. tbh crypto has given me everything I need so far. I am a simple and frugal man so I wont need to cash any out for a long long time. Solely stacking it for my daughter / future kids. I don't want them to know I have as much as I do but hopefully teach them loosely about blockchain the way my father taught me about money when I was a kid. Make them financially/tech literate and then when they are 21, or if I die before then it is in my will, give them the keys to the wallets. That's the plan, from here on out just stack, stack, stack. Current plan is to stack BTC, LINK, ETH and a few alt coins like FCF that pay daily dividends into a wallet, THOR, not honestly sure how that's going to go though, and SYN. The latter 3 are kinda lotto tickets if they all go to zero I wouldn't care at all though I would be sad about the missed opportunity. I buy each weekly using what would have been my mortgage payment so I think I will be giving my children the best life I can while (hopefully) raising them well enough to not blow it all.

I have more than I'd like to lose in vechain since 2017 and I still feel a little sketched of this project. Only because it just has no attraction in the US. And the name Vechain would be hard to market because of how the brain easily goes to Vechina. I'm still hodling though. Also from all those years the generation of my THOR is pretty disappointing. You'd make way more from one of those exchange offers when you lock up your btc or eth etc.. I still got high hopes for sunny

its funny that people still think bitcoin can be regulated in this way. Europeans could use THOR swap to buy bitcoin or a VPN on a foreign non-full KYC centralized exchange. This is just trying to delay the inevitable, they will be speed bumps that get run over by bitcoin.

Had to look into it a bit because I wasn’t totally familiar with Thor, but here is what I have discovered. First and foremost, THOR is a Blockchain where as Quant is technology agnostic. There are a number of differences & benefits, but the main problem with building a bigger, faster blockchain is that you're still at best, creating a bigger island. Subject to inherit platform limitations, developers also lack the ability to incorporate new technology as it evolves, or the ability to easily pivot on a strategy. There is immense opportunity cost in both human and economic resources. There will surely be many successful blockchains, but with Quant rather than having to find the winner, you bet on all blockchains at once. Imagine if you could go back to the early 2000's during the dot-com boom absent the information you have now. Would you rather attempt to guess the best companies, or purchase an index fund that held all web companies and accrued value relative to their usage? There are currently 18,000+ cryptos out there. Quant not only has the ability to connect them all, but also work with legacy finance and CBDCs and they are all interoperable under the QNT umbrella. As for the token and its value, here is a [great Twitter thread](https://twitter.com/hibizku/status/1447126379556921345?s=21&t=LmHgRmBk29mK5WO4uCyKuA) about how it works. Im really sad algo’s defi has turned out this way between tinyman and yieldy, what appears like one of the strongest alt projects had launches almost as bad as some of the shitcoins out there. I still haven’t bought back into my Ada or algo since I started trimming in December and dumped right after Christmas while I was still heavily in the green. I have high hopes for these projects but have focused my investments elsewhere only because of usecase really I still think they have some of the strongest fundamentals but their defi is so little it’s lost my attention (not that I don’t think they’re good projects) Every project has drama or cons or a lack of centralization, all of these vectors are a spectrum and I feel this is why owning ETH and BTC is such a safe bet because regardless of what’s stronger in certain vectors it can’t beat the backbone of community that lives with these projects. That community is what attracts me to cosmos, there’s not a very big community to be apart of in Ada or algo because they don’t have anything on them in the terms of some of the IBC products which have influenced even evm products like MATIC and THOR. I love what Algorand is doing and believe they will end up like cosmos in which the community steals/builds from their innovation and eventually achieves greater things than the original implementation does. The quantum states, relayer design, all of the tech behind Algorand and cardano respectively will be influential to the broader ecosystem but I question if they stand to capture market dominance similar to how cosmos has struggled but instead carved itself a different niche.

Post is by: EntropyFighter and the url/text [ ](https://goo.gl/GP6ppk)is: /r/CryptoCurrency/comments/smefmc/what_lp_farms_do_you_like/ I've been in the crypto world since the summer of last year. About a month ago the whole DeFi world opened up to me. I certainly don't claim to be an expert but I'm fairly familiar with what's available in the Avalanche and Fantom ecosystems. Personally, I like the AVAX-THOR LP farm on the Thor website, which is yielding around 700% APR and falling, and I like the FTM-TOMB LP Farm on [tomb.com](https://tomb.com). I'm curious about the pools on [osmosis.zone](https://osmosis.zone) but I'd be new to the Cosmos world and all of their coins are unfamiliar to me. Then there's the world of stable coin LP farms. Less risk but less yield. I'm curious what LP farms other people like. Anybody willing to share their favorites? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. There are several node projects there, in different chains. STRONG, THOR, POWER, VAPOR, etc. In common, they all offer: 1. Very high returns, 2. The need to "lock" your initial investment that was used to create the "node", 3. The necessity of new people to enter the scheme to keep it sustainable. Ponzi 1:1.

All of these coins are connected to other currencies and other factors. You generally buy altcoins with bitcoin. More coins these days for sure; ETH, LTC, etc aka the StableCoins. So voila, their value is directly based on the value of BTC. BTC goes up, coins go up. The USD and other things are connected to it now. Generally you'll see coins valued in BTC or ETH or USD. These pairings are displayed as (taking VeChain aka THOR aka whatever it's called no (I divested two years ago with a nice profit, as an example). VECHAIN:BTC VECHAIN: USD (Most exchanges don't deal with USD, they use coins, so it's not often you'll see this trading pair.) VECHAIN : ETH VECHAIN : LTC and so on. So these coins' values are inextricably linked through pairing. It's why the "Massacres" that go on weekly don't surprise veteran traders -- oh no, the market crashed on Thursday and it's back on Monday... So there you have it. Hopefully this info helps someone.
