Every single cycle we go through this. You don't think there were articles exactly like this about Namecoin and peercoin like 8 years ago? 5 years ago there were articles just like this about bitcoin private, verge, etc etc. In 5 years there's going to be threads just like this about many of the shitcoins this sub holds so passionately and so dearly. How to recover your coins and NFTs from your secondary MetaMask wallet accounts? I can easily use Etherscan and all other blockchains easily with my main wallet address but when I added secondary accounts and got different wallet addresses under the same seed phrase ALL of my secondary accounts are gone and seemingly unrecoverable. I deleted my wallet because I had accumulated so many junk wallets over the years with little to no coins or NFTs. Also I wasn’t sure if I’ve ever accidentally stored my seed phrase in an unsafe place like a snapshot that then got sent to the cloud. Which most people who invest in crypto know can be easily accessed by someone who is determined and know what they are doing. I pretty much ignored this tbh until I looked into the subject further and realized just how vulnerable my assets really were. So after deleting my wallet I started a process of importing all of my known seed phrases into MetaMask. As I was finishing this process it occurred to me that I was missing ALL of my NFTs. I guess by chance and not knowing exactly how MetaMask worked at the time I was depositing some of my coins and I’ll be damned ALL of my NFTs into secondary accounts. I have no idea how to get back some valuable NFTs, Reddit Avatars included, which are my favorite NFTs. The idea is to put all of my crypto into one safe wallet that I have never used and has yet to be created. I’m creating an absolutely secure vault of a wallet that I know that I am the only person on the planet to know the seed phrase for 100000% sure. PLEASE HELP ME RECOVER MY CRYPTO FROM ALL MY SECONDARY ACCOUNTS ON METAMASK. THIS IS BULLSHIT ON THEIR PART AND ALMOST SEEMS INTENTIONAL. Especially considering their lack of knowledge of crypto and lack of experts specialising in crypto (in the above-mentioned point), the likelihood is that this "bet" is going to be wrong and the case totally fucked and rendered useless to defend screwed investors (as with Celsius) is huge. Such was the case with Ripple, where the SEC completely botched the case against them and rightly so!

I had the SAME issue with CoinTracker and I paid for their higher tier BULLSHIT. My accountant and myself were confused as FUCK. CoinTracker really would flip out if there were any withdraws into a hardware wallet. It would count it as a loss. Then I would manual override it and label it as a transfer only, but still... a lot of my crypto accounting was all jacked up. I just ended up going through all of my transactions and making a damn Excel spreadsheet to hand off to my accountant. FUCKING RIP OFF SOFTWARE. Just take the time and do it yourself.

This is a BULLSHIT complaint. What's contributing to that CO2 output is the power grid, not simply Bitcoin mining. If everyone had electric cars in their driveway recharging at night, that too would use the existing grid. And don't give me any BS about how everyone having an electric vehicle is better than co2 from gas burning vehicles. Population numbers are expanding exponentially. Even if you had just new drivers with electric vehicles, that would be utilizing fossil fuels as well. I've been very good last year. The only mistakes was starting with Metamask wallet. ETH is too expensive in the fall and the wallet is screwy when you change the network to BNB - which should not be an issue. As for crypto I have doubts is ETH. The NFTs are shit and ETH is fucking expensive. Really. If you want 50 dollars to spend on ETH. You need to put 75 dollars to have 45 dollars worth of ETH. AND HERE IS THE BULLSHIT... If you want to buy something that's 40 dollars worth you STILL NEED TO PAY 20 DOLLARS FOR GAS. FUCK ETH!

I don’t think I’m subscribed here, but this popped up on my feed so I thought I’d pop in here and share my personal view. Hi! I’m just a dude. I’m not particularly into cryptocurrency, or NFTs, but I absolutely *despise* the crypto space right now. And before you go off on me for “not knowing what I’m talking about” or “not seeing the potential of the technology”, I’m a Computer Scientist, who dare I say knows more about blockchain tech than you do. I use Ethereum for transactions sometimes, and I’m interested in the future of web3 etc. However, I don’t like the community surrounding this, specifically cryptocurrency and NFT? What gives? Well, there’s a few reasons I dislike the community surrounding this tech right now, and I think these are some of the main reasons others dislike it too. First is the fact that it’s just the most opportunistic, greedy place on earth right now. It’s a frenzy of bullshit altcoins and shilling, which pretends to hide under a thin veil of “it’s decentralised, good for humanity” yada yada yada. I fucking hate centralisation and I believe the blockchain will be a massive part of the liberation of the individual in the future, but using that message to get people to buy something just isn’t right. Furthermore, there’s just so much BULLSHIT here. Wherever money is involved, and you have a large following of people trying to get “their piece of the pie”, there will be shills, there will be scams, and frankly all of this is so visible that the average person will see that and think it’s so representative of the space as a whole, which I actually think kinda sucks. The cryptocurrency space right now is very focussed on the financial gains aspect, rather than the claimed “good” of decentralisation, and the real utility of said projects. Anytime utility is mentioned, it’s just in the context of speculation on price. And that’s the thing - speculation. How can you expect this to be a real store of value when the price of even “stable” coins fluctuates wildly - and true stablecoins like USDT are seemingly shady as fuck! It’s just not ready for mass adoption to anyone who isn’t gambling. The concept of these sharp price rises and falls, which draws the greedy “early adopter” types to crypto, is exactly why demand will plateau and they won’t get mass adoption - people don’t want risky speculative investments, they just want a place to keep their money safe, maybe hedge a few per cent a year against inflation, and be able to send it to their friends quickly and easily. And right now crypto isn’t offering that to non tech-savvy users, and to those who aren’t willing to research. And yes, I know finding a good wallet is easy and so is finding some good stable coins, but even 5 minutes of research is more effort than existing systems like PayPal and banks! And don’t get me started on NFT “art”. I think it’s *INSANE* that this type of project even gained ANY traction, let alone the massive buzz around it that exists now. Don’t get me wrong, NFTs are an incredibly powerful tech, and I see them in the future being used for legal documents, concert tickets, even stuff like online betting contracts - just stuff that needs to be verifiable, and recorded safely. But automatically generating tens of thousands of fucking JPEGs of cartoon animals in different sunglasses, and not even STORING THE IMAGES ON THE BLOCKCHAIN but just selling ownership of a link that points to some clunky web2.0 server - it’s the complete opposite of a good for humanity. It is the opposite of art. I’m not one of the typical reddit Keanu worshippers, but the guy had a point when he said that NFTs aren’t art. I’m a photographer, filmmaker and I dabbled in digital art over corona, and making genuine art in the digital space is possible, and some people are incredible at it - but this just ain’t it. The hundreds of thousands of these hash-generated images is so pointless to me - what emotion does that convey? What story does that BAYC image tell? The Beeple one I kinda get, because it’s paying money for an actual art piece but holy shit, all of the “projects” right now with apes, pugs, whales, this is not art - it’s cosmetics. You’re paying hundreds of thousands of dollars for the equivalent of a CSGO skin. Except for the fact that the CSGO skin is also killing the planet, and it’s not even a good demonstration of the tech it’s tryna showcase - since a lot of them are stored on web2.0 services. This has kinda been a rant, and the list goes on, but like it or not, the crypto space right now has an image problem - of pushing bullshit on the mass population, manipulating those trying to make a quick buck, and killing the environment for pointless non-art. And yes, I know about the upcoming forks to make blockchains more efficient, but that electricity has already been burned, there’s already waste that we won’t get back. I like the technology, but I HATE the buzz around it. With good reason. I don’t get why you’re shocked.
