There's a few pairs I've had going for 2+ years now, (POL/USDT, WETH/USDT, WETH/USDC, WETH/AAVE, WETH/LINK are the ones I can think of top of my head) that have all stayed at the 40%+ rate (POL/USDT seemingly stays closer to 100% most of the time based on Quickswap) but looking at my totals after time, it really doesn't feel like it adds up; but impairment loss / market flux may honestly be enough for that difference with the LP's. With lending, I'm getting much lower (Like 8% average for USDC) and that definitely seems on the nose though.

Sounds like right up the president’s alley. Bah should invested in them but I chose LINK

For your shitcoins surely not. But ETH, SOL, XRP, AAVE, LINK, AVAX all contradicts your statement.

The Big Two (Crypto’s Apple + Amazon)/ Bitcoin (BTC): digital gold, store of value. Ethereum (ETH): smart contracts, DeFi, NFTs. Blockchains (“Ethereum competitors”) Solana (SOL): Fast, cheap, strong ecosystem. Chainlink (LINK): Decentralised oracle network (brings real-world data on-chain). Avalanche (AVAX): Competes with ETH/SOL for DeFi + scaling. Utility / Older but still popular: Litecoin (LTC): “silver to Bitcoin’s gold.” Ripple (XRP): bank-focused payments (controversial with lawsuits). Chainlink (LINK): oracle network (gets real-world data into blockchains). Stellar (XLM): cross-border payments.

At least you’re keeping XRP in the friend zone it’s basically Ripple’s pet project anyway. Centralization kills the upside. If you want another real builder next to LINK and HBAR, IOTA fits way better.

nah still early. LINK is a trillion dollar market cap project

Mentions:#LINK

I too had 10k ADA…once…held the bag during a down cycle and when it finally came back to near $1 I got out lol. So I’m not in it anymore… Now I’m long on LINK, hoping that alt season kicks in soon. My brother follows crypto religiously and thinks that once ETH breaks its ATH, the other major alts will soon follow.. Projecting LINK price to potentially break its previous ATH of $52 and eventually settle back in the $30s…

Going to add to this since it sums up my suggestions too. 15% to Alts with sound usecase like LINK and others. 10% on startups with solid foundation and achievable goals, 5% to memecoins with vetted contracts or if early enough.... These are not financial advice; they are what I would do if I was fortunate to be in a comfortable position.

Mentions:#LINK

Finally, my LINK bags can be dumped through Wall Street instead of Coinbase.

Mentions:#LINK

I think the alt season lasts until Q4 this year or hopefully Q1 of next year. Regardless of what happens, make sure you are backing the right altcoins. ETH, LINK, TAO, RENDER, AIOZ are some of my biggest bags. The quality of the alts you hold is ultimately what matters.

Bullish on LINK and HBAR. Sorry XRP, i still like you as a friend

Yeah, solid picks. You might also look at UNI, LINK, WBT

Mentions:#UNI#LINK#WBT

You're 7 years too late for the likes of LINK and ONDO if the potential for FU money is the objective. Look for low market caps with unlocked supply and solid fundamentals. Ask AI to tell you more about RIO and IXS, and consider balancing this risk out with some QNT exposure. This is my current investment strategy having rode LINK from $0.25.

LINK might be the least "shitcoin" in the entire space. 😂

Mentions:#LINK

LINK is an absolute gem. Yet to see any other project provide the same or similar utility to Chainlink.

Mentions:#LINK

Mylti-bear vet here as well. My plan is to sell my ADA, LINK, and AVAX bags before the end of the year. You can say these aren’t shitcoins if you want, but I’m not going to get caught holding a short-term trend again. These are a good coins. But so was NEO, among others. So… ^(I may still hold a *tiny* bit of link. Take that how you will)

Safe Play: LINK Moderate Play: ONDO High Risk/High Reward Play: PLUME, INJECTIVE See you when you're rich.

My strategy to not be a bag holder is buying everything in Q3 2022 and keep selling step by step on the way up starting from March 2024 when we breached the BTC's ATH. I'm almost completely out now. I hold a bag of SOL and AVAX that i aim to sell around 250$ and 45$ respectively, if we hit those targets, but i don't really care if we don't, it was a small part of my portfolio. BTC, ETH, DOT, LINK, AAVE have been sold already at one point or another. I'll buy again when we get a deeper retrace, when i say deeper i mean something like 50% down from ATH for BTC, deep deep bear.

I will be DCA’ing into BTC using strike - no fees - counting on early 2026 to come down below to try-test 100k. I’m consolidating all my stupid shit coins/ yfi back into eth/ usdt sometime this fall/ winter and putting it into SOL/ ETH. For alt coins- may keep LINK, uni and mkr

If you’re aiming at a 1–3 year horizon, the safest core would be to balance ETH with some BTC. BTC is still the asset most likely to hold value in any macro scenario, while ETH gives exposure to staking, L2 growth and restaking narratives. Alts like LINK or AVAX can outperform in cycles, but many fade if the market turns – think of them as high-beta bets. As for USDC, 5–12% yield always carries counterparty risk; it might be better to keep part liquid for dips and part in a trusted yield venue.

Sold all my DOT for more ARB, LINK, AVAX. DOT is not gonna outperform those 3 coins this run. Inflation is too high, adoption is lacking and hype is gone.

LINK, SOL, SUI, HBAR, XRP - all great projects with potential.. lots of speculation/ rumors they'll be pumping hard for the following years. Also, would advise keeping them on Nexо - you earn interest just for holding, no need to stake. If you're gonna hodl, you may just as well earn some extra on the side.

I did as well, caught a big move up in xrp, moved into erc20 coins, not so much ETH but I did well on LINK, AAVE and others What are we expecting eth to do from this point? 10k? 15k? Max? 3x doesn’t impress me. I can see DOT at $20-30+ next year.

This shit is so manipulated. Every time LINK starts pumping, BTC dumps

Mentions:#LINK#BTC

BTC and LINK for sure... Those two, along with ETH, are good to make up a majority of the portfolio. Additional exposure to HBAR, AVAX, SOL like you mentioned is helpful.. Just do a smaller percentage for those.

Post is by: Sssisp2025 and the url/text [ ](https://goo.gl/GP6ppk)is: /r/CryptoMarkets/comments/1mz34nw/bought_5_eth_what_next/ Title: Bought 5 ETH (~29k €), holding 30k USDC – what should I add next for 1–3 year growth? Post: Just bought 5 ETH (~29k €) and now I’m thinking about what to add next to my portfolio. At the moment I hold ~30k USDC and ~6 ETH, total around 60k in crypto. My plan is to slowly increase exposure up to 200–300k, but I don’t want to risk putting everything only into ETH. I’m considering whether it makes sense to buy some BTC as a more stable long-term base, or diversify into altcoins like LINK, SOL, AVAX, HBAR or maybe even newer projects with potential. At the same time, I wonder if staking USDC for 5–12% yield is worth the risk compared to just keeping it liquid for buying dips. I’m aiming for a 1–3 year horizon, so I want growth but also some security. What would you recommend as the next step in my situation? *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Like others have said, stick to the top 25, maybe 50 Cryptos by market cap. Strong ones are LINK ETH SOL XRP ADA XLM BNB and of course BTC. I know i missed a few, but diversity is important especially when investing in Crypto.

For me it is BTC ETH and LINK, i think btc the safest bet and ETH and LINK are the safest alts.

Mentions:#BTC#ETH#LINK

I stick with Layer 1s, DeFi, and grounded projects like LINK. Tokenomic are key. Coins with generous staking rates make themselves worthless because people just cash out. I stay the hell away from gaming projects, NFTs and 99 percent of meme coins.

Mentions:#LINK

Really depends on your risk appetite. An example some people use is 60% major coins(BTC, ETH), 30% large-medium caps(SOL, XRP, SUI, LINK), & 10% micro caps(KIWI, GRAY, COR). Smaller coins are obviously much riskier so do plenty of research before throwing money into them.

I stick with solid projects in the top 20 or 25, like LINK and ADA. They won't 100x but they don't go to zero either. Also, I only buy spot during bear markets. I got AAVE for an average of $64, SOL at $22 and XRP ar $0.59. Buy when others are fearful. Sell when others are greedy.

We only care about BTC, ETH, ADA, and LINK here buddy!

Technically, they could… but it would require all the banks coming together and unanimously agreeing to build, then it would take years of development/testing to become as secure and pass ISO SOC 2 audits similar to LINK. Years to build vs a blockchain that can be deployed as quickly as a week. I don’t know why I bother, you’re right man, “XRP is gonna be huge”. Lose all your fucking money, you deserve it at this point. 🤷‍♂️

Selling into strength is never a bad move. Personally, I rotate into projects with utility like LINK or ALVARA defi, since they tend to survive better when the hype cools.

Always try to size your position by having at least 40-45% in large caps,(ETH and BTC) and, portion of your investment can be allocated for LINK(15-20%)Wait for LINK to break and close above 29-30 on monthly basis, it can potentially give you an upside of 50-60%. The rest you can equally distribute between SUI, HBR Manage your position wisely.

I just recently got to 0.1BTC and I'm aiming for 0.2 next. I DCA in £400 monthly and any overtime I do as well. BTC all the way. Also I own XRP, XDC, HBAR, QNT, ADA, LINK, ETH, SOL and a few other RWA alt coins. A few memes like Shiba and Bonk and normal stocks like Google, Meta, Gold, silver etc.

For Q4 I’m keeping it simple, still stacking BTC and ETH, but on the alt side I’m watching LINK, SUI, and NEAR.I'm also nibbling at smaller plays like ARB for potential L2 upside. In the meantime, I park part of my stack on Coindepo.

I bought in last week since they finally gave the LINK token some utility…

If we use your own analogy, Ripple would actually be the Philips CDI, Chainlink would be a hypothetical universal game disc manufacturer that had a complete monopoly that Microsoft, Sony, Philips, Nintendo all paid to create gaming discs that can be played on the PlayStation, Xbox, Wii, CDI, etc. That’s why Chainlink is referred to as a “universal gas token”. In connects all the chains. In a few years, once you realize all the banks have their own chains and NEED LINK to be able to transfer funds from bank chain to bank chain, then you’ll get it. Maybe a handful of smaller banks use Ripple, who knows, but if JP Morgan has already created their own blockchain, XRP’s prospects don’t seem great. PayPal built their own stablecoin. Many others built their own. I personally believe any companies using Ripple today are using it as a stepping stone to “dabble in crypto” while they build their own or until they build their own.

Personally I think DOT will be left behind, I sold near the peak of 2021 and reinvested a little but it seems like it doesnt want to break out of the 4 year downtrend, I sold at a loss and reinvested into other competitors which paid back more Some of these coins i dont know about so I wont comment but LINK & SOL are your standout coins

Yeah, they could coexist but plenty of banks are developing their own chains and integrating with LINK for cross-chain compatibility. I just can't imagine wealthy institutions relying on a third party like Ripple when even a random dude in a basement can start a new blockchain company today if they wanted. The buy vs build math would just be so skewed toward build. also, Ripple's circulating supply is 59B right now and that's only half the total supply...that's wild. I think the LINK reserve + increasing adoption + 1B supply will eventually take LINK to the #3 crypto spot in the next 5-10 years.

It’s almost like LINK and XRP can coexist and bring real world applications to the blockchain without the other failing.

BTC, ETH, LINK already are the top projects. My only 3 holdings, and have been for over a year now. Actual utility there.

it's LINK season.

I also held ETH through all the down years, same with LINK. BTC, ETH, LINK will be the top projects at some point in the future.

This is the year of BTC, ETH, and LINK. No other projects matter imo, but I've been saying this for years now. Never thought SOL would amount to much, but SOL has it's shitcoin market, so you can likely make money there.

LINK and SOL have been very good to me & yesterday would have been a perfect day to ask this, lol...

LINK 100% no brainer

There's no best and worst Memes are for quick time gains, utility driven tokens are for the long term. I'm in for the long term, AIOZ, LINK, SOL have been impressive. XRP may be controversial, but you can't deny that it's had a good run over time too. Although slow, but steady.

Utility coins are network Blockchain tokens. For instance BTC ETH SOL TRX SUI AVAX TON for example. They have utility because all of the coins mentioned here in the comments run on the networks I listed and require owning them to pay for network gas fees. Think of them as the picks and shovels of crypto. Coins like LINK and the other ones mentioned in the comments are the Gems of crypto. The utility tokens are safer and have a higher market cap and more liquidity. The coins that run on these networks are higher out on the risk curve but give greater reward.

I am holding some of my ETH, LINK & XRP. Use case reasons. Selling everyone of my 💩meme coins.

I see a ton of people saying LINK lately, and from what ive seen it looks like a nice add. But short term, what can we expect?

Mentions:#LINK

If there's one thing i've learned after being in 3 crypto cycles, its that BTC always outperforms your altcoins, I think you should increase your BTC holdings. XRP & LINK will soar as will ETH. ADA is my personal altcoin pick so im biased on that lmao, but overall insane porfolio, just too little BTC XLM is a sleeper pick, could do numbers in the next decade

Depends on your risk tolerance, and if you want a long-term investment or if you are looking to cash out short-term $2000 is not much for long term but if you DCA into it then it will pay off big eventually - I would go 50% BTC, 40% ETH and split the 10% into altcoins you believe in(Preferabbly top 100 coins), just to give a few that I like: ADA, LINK, & DOGE(meme coin lol) If you are willing to take risk, you can earn way more but can also lose 80% of your investment in a short timespan. For this i'd go heavy on altcoins like XRP, SOL, ADA, LTC, BCH.... Try some meme coins but try to avoid low caps as they 9 times out of 10 end up disappearing forever. FYI this is what I did in the last cycle and it took me from 3 figures to 5 TL;DR - Sorry for the long read but to simply answer your question, if it was me using this $2kUSD I would put $1k into ETH, $500 into Ada, $250 into BCH, and $250 into DOGE

> Do you think there’s any realistic way to estimate the projected value of LINK based on adoption? Right now, we can see the buy/sell pressure through market volume, but that doesn’t really tell us how much purchasing would actually be needed to push the price higher. I don’t think the specifics are public knowledge, the best we can do is take expected transaction values and multiply by ccip network fee, which is 0.07%. Ccip fee is volume based so we can do this there’s a blockchain fee that’s negligible so I’m not gonna take into account. It really comes down to the speed of adoption. I think people also don’t really grasp the scale of these institutions. Even a sliver of their business dwarfs defi. Let’s go more conservative, because realistically that’s how they move. Swift moves 5 trillion a day. Even if they move 0.01% of that flow through CCIP in early production, that’s 500M a day, comes out to about 125B a year for 2026. Scaling 0.01% in a year of production is pretty realistic in my opinion, most likely even underselling it but just to be on the safer side. If we apply the same logic to dtcc they process about 2.5 quadrillion yearly, 0.01% of that in a year is 250b. That’s coming up to 400b on the conservative side with just those two institutions. Chainlink just hit 93b secured across all of defi. The scale is insane. That’s what happens when you spend a decade building, you get trusted to hang with the big boys. It’s the flywheel mechanism that sold me, and it should help with those pesky unlocks. When adoption kicks off, (swift plan to towards the end of 2025), fees now get abstracted into link and paid to node operators. Some will sell, others will stake to earn rewards and secure higher value jobs. That’ll drive the price up, make the network more secure and boost confidence, which will drive adoption, and the whole thing keep on looping. Demand scales over time while the float gets more illiquid. I believe that flywheel should offset or at least help with the unlocks, and in the longer term comfortably outpace it. Right now the unlocks hit hard because staking and supply mechanisms haven’t expanded, and price is mostly speculative. When the systems up and running we won’t feel it as much in my opinion. TLDR demand go up supply go down nice price lol. I couldn’t give you a price prediction because there’s so many variables we haven’t even thrown in retail speculating, based of the back off the envelope stuff I think by end of next year comfortably in the triple digits, in that 100-200 range if adoption goes live and scales as expected. All I know is shit is going to get very violent at some point, and I’m not missing the ride.

Since @Ripple was a thing, that was always XRP’s narrative that XRP would be the ones working with the banks. Swift comes out and says, we’re using @chainlink for this, JP Morgan comes out and says, we’re using Chainlink for this. XRP’s core product just has not seen meaningful traction with institutions.
