Outside of HON, 80% are low cost mutual funds. I treat HON as a mutual fund and ignore, except when the spin-off something - I sell and buy more HON. I have only 9 stocks as more than 10, I find it hard to do proper DD and valuations - just too much work. I have 5 in a hold and forget portfolio (AMD, LLY, META, AMZN, CC) that I have already taken significant profit and my original investment out. My speculative portfolio (MVST, FOLD, PARA, ABUS) - these keep my mind active.
I like diagnostics companies/assay development ones. It’s a very boom or bust trade, many will simply not accomplish what they are trying to do. I like Castle Biosciences (CSTL), Amicus (FOLD), and Moderna (MRNA). In terms of stocks Amicus is kinda turning me off but I like the other company. The other two I am strongly considering buying soon.
Its not that hard if you are pro at it. I used to play 24 tables at once (this was for long time most tables you could open). You have a strategy that you follow and only do 1s decisions like FOLD or CHECK/CALL and the thougher ones only come like once a 100 hands. But granted its almost not profitable these days. Back in the days games were much more soft and rewards for playing a lot were muc higher and they were most of the profit you would make playing this way

Market Research: Busted out the more expensive Booker's Bourbon as a nightcap to end the day and do a bit of market analysis before the fireworks. Hope you all enjoyed your weekend. It is quite amazing how well funny money adheres to these large round number supports. You saw it very clearly at 30k, and now again at 20k. My guess is less sophisticated investors, which let's be honest is most brapto holders, make these psychological support points much more impactful. It's been a bit frustrating to play because it keeps failing and then regaining 20k multiple times, which tells me I should consider a TA based support to be a bit lower, maybe just under 19k. After going through a ton of charts it it looking like a lot of names may have bottomed already and are in their rebound phase. I've been seeing signs that speculative money is returning to the market, which is the key bullish signal to look for in addition to positive market breadth. I keep thinking we have more room to fall, but the charts are telling me it is possible we have already hit at least a temporary bottom, and I follow the price action, not my biases. The BioTech sector continues to gain relative strength. If the market bottoms I feel this is the #1 sector to focus on for potential explosive returns. My scans are filled with small and micro cap bio stocks. This is right up my alley honestly so if we do hit a rally I could get some big returns. Considering this is a risky sector, and there are a ton of names flagging right now, I'm thinking of dropping down to just 5% account size positioning on each and doing a big "shotgun blast" style entry on a lot of names. Diversifying within one sector in a sense. The final trade ideas I'm looking at is reentering a natgas long since it is continuing to hold current support after getting heavily sold off. I'll be using BOIL shares again. And reentering LI and JKS if they get a decent pullback in price next week since I am bullish on these longer term. Most of my watchlist is below market cap for this sub now, but here are a few I can mention: ALLO, FOLD, FORG, GTX, KIND, BILI

I learned my lesson during the Dotcom bubble. I thought I was a "F"-ing genius with QCOM and few others from 1998-2000 and all the Y2K hoopla. In mid-late Jan 200, there was like a 10% drop - "I am a f-ing genius, rushed in to buy the dip"; by mid March-April, lost $300K and got out it. It taught me a valuable lesson, max out retirement accounts with low cost mutual funds and save 15% cash of yearly income for emergencies, after that than purchase blue chips names and reinvest dividends. Then and only then develop a \~10 stock speculative portfolio that you did a lot of DD. For me, more than 10 are difficult to keep current. It also taught me to have a strategy on both the upside run and to manage downside risk (if any drops by \~15% I am out but will watch). On the upside, I take profits at 25% and if its 50%, I sell 1/2 - 1/3 and let the remainder ride and not really tracking it. (Today those stocks include FB, BABA, CC, AMD, and LLY.) So when the crash happen in 2008, I was well positioned and rode it out. Retiring early and been enjoying the good life. Today, I have a speculative portfolio to keep my mind active (FOLD, TSP, SOFI, POAHY and a few S P A Cs - Tuscan and Hennessy)) Good Luck PS: I purchased my house right before the bubble at a fair price. I am worried today that many people are getting over-extended by purchasing a home that they really cannot afford because of low interest rates.

I am in FOLD - it got slammed for a recent study (treatment equivalent to current but lesser side-effects) but has good revenue streams. With oil-stocks, I preferred to play the service providers - SLB, BKR, and HAL. Since the pandemic, they have right-sized themselves.

Thanks for the feedback, will let you know if I find any red flags, was planning to dig in a little more over the next few weeks. I did come across a few other small caps with IPA and FOLD that seemed interesting, but again, very early in DD. Seemed like IPA plays in the same sandbox as BLI/ABCL but is much smaller though they have a contracting business to grow revenues. This is a tough space to invest in, up there with natural resources. Thank you!
