#Chainlink Pro-Arguments Below is a Chainlink pro-argument written by CreepToeCurrentSea. > Chainlink is a decentralized and open source Oracle network. Sergey Nazarov and Steve Ellis developed it in 2017. Chainlink's primary function is to act as a link between smart contracts on smart contracting platforms and external data sources, allowing smart contracts to securely access off-chain data feeds. In other words, it serves as a connection point between smart contracts and off-chain environments. Its native token LINK is used as a payment token as well as a work token. LINK is a payment token used to reward Chainlink node operators for providing Oracle services. As a work token, LINK can be staked as collateral by node operators to provide oracle services. > > # PROs > > **Unique Function** > > * As mentioned in the introduction, Chainlink serves as a link between smart contracts and off-chain environments. This means that Chainlink enables smart contracts to interact with real-world data and services that exist outside of blockchain networks, broadening the use-case and future potential of smart contracts beyond crypto and into the real world. It's also a very flexible system that can be configured so that Oracle networks can be made up of any combination of node operators and data providers, with different network parameters like update frequency, fee payment amounts, and so on. Instead of trying to be the next Bitcoin or the Ethereum Killer, Chainlink thrives on it's unique utilities and functions that it just acts as another layer in blockchain technology. > > **Various Use-Cases** > > * Chainlink has one of the best use cases in both crypto and in the real world. According to their website, its use cases include DeFi, Enterprise, Insurance, NFT, and Gaming. Social Implact. as well as Climate Markets. By acting as the omni-bridge of crypto, it enables real-world data to be transferred into blockchains/networks, and vice versa by allowing blockchains/networks to send information/data into real-world events. All of this occurs while remaining decentralized, tamper-resistant, and secure. > > **Staking** > > * Chainlink also provides a staking mechanism that "adds a new layer of cryptoeconomic security," according to their website. With this feature, network users can earn rewards for increasing the security guarantees and user assurances of Oracle services by backing them up with staked LINK tokens. As a result, the Chainlink network is more secure, participants are rewarded, and they can play an important role in the network's development. > > **Support for Web3** > > * Web3 is still a bit of a buzzword these days, as not many people understand it. Through their BUILD program, Chainlink assists Web3 projects by providing them with enhanced access to Chainlink services and technical support. This will benefit Chainlink in the long run as the future is likely to bring more technological advancements, as well as up and coming Web3 projects that require Chainlink's security and reliability. > > *Sources:* > > [*https://research.chain.link/whitepaper-v2.pdf*](https://research.chain.link/whitepaper-v2.pdf) > > [*https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chainlink\_(blockchain)*](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chainlink_(blockchain)) > > [*https://chain.link/use-cases*](https://chain.link/use-cases) > > [*https://chain.link/economics/staking*](https://chain.link/economics/staking) > > [*https://chain.link/economics/build-program*](https://chain.link/economics/build-program) > > [*https://consensys.github.io/blockchainSecurityDB/projects/chainlink/*](https://consensys.github.io/blockchainSecurityDB/projects/chainlink/) ***** Would you like to learn more? Come see me @ boballenmotorskc.com lol fr though Anyone want to take a small car dealership into web³ ? ! I own and operate one and am willing and interested! HMU! We are changing the narrative on how business is done right there in the conemunity! We are farmers, car dealers, meat markets, utility workers, tradesmen and women, leaders and followers; We are a family. A Conemunity Our credit union take over will be dubbed Conemunity America Credit Union. Here's the play: 1. MOVE all USD fiat to Credit union from public and private banks (drain anf reallocate our LP) 2. DEMAND with majority members vote of CU to change name 3. DECLARE BitCONE as backed by our deposits and acceptable as a payment (create irl LP) 4. OFFER VISA AND MASTERCARD fee based deals to utilize their cards on our networks. 5. BUILD BITCONE CITY ON EARTH MOON AND MARS AND A HALO IN SPACE AS A WAY STATION! May have skipped a couple steps but you get the idea!

I get the warning about circulating supply but If BR and Fink want to tokenize Wall Street they’re gonna have to pick some purpose-built blockchain to scoop up coins from on the cheap. How they could do this in a cost effective manner with a coin that’s already 90-100% in circulation I can’t imagine. As I understand it, they’re only starting to buy so being exit liquidity is pretty unlikely at this time imo. Of course no one goes blow-for-blow with 4-dimensional-chess-playing-infinitely-deep-pocketed BlackRock so there’s that. There are also three or four other big VC firms, including Fidelity that are eyeballing the top 15 (or more) RWA projects, and there’s substantial overlap across the top projects. For what it’s worth. IMO the bigger concerns is the BlackRock BUILD fund with its initial deployment of 100 million (a drop in the bucket for BR, I know) being deployed on Ethereum, and more importantly, the fact that BTC is gonna eat everything in a multi-trillion RWA space. Anyways, ear to the ground there’s a buck to be made in there somewhere.

Did you miss chainlink as the conference? Do you know what their BUILD program is?

It’s not about the degree, ITS ABOUT MARKETABLE SKILLS. It could be a skilled trade, STEM etc… all that matters is that you need have a skill set that is well payed. For example, Walmart truck driver makes about $120,000 on average, no degree required where as a teacher makes about 1/2 of that but a degree is required. A unioned high rise Crain operator makes about $150,000-$200,000 or more, no college degree required… about the same as a pediatrician or pathologist but in $250,000 in student loan debt. I didn’t finish university but I had enough college credits to get a job as a lab technician and my income last year was about $55,000… slightly more than an average biology degree holder working as a lab tech. I already have a payed off house (thanks to dumping fiat debt coupons for hard assets) and zero debt… for a normie indebted person to be able to pocket the same amount as someone like me (debt free super saver), they actually would need to make almost TWICE AS MUCH in the same average cost of living state ($110,000) AND 4x AS MUCH in a high cost of living state like California to be able to DCA at the same rate. I pretend I am making rent/mortgage payments when I PAY MYSELF IN HARD ASSETS like bitcoin. Personally, I still want to complete my education, simply because I can and it wouldn’t hurt, I can easily afford it having a frugal life and lots of savings. There are TONS OF OPTIONS TO EDUCATE YOURSELF that did not exist a few years ago. Many reputable universities now have online options for working adults… some Ivy Leagues even offer online degree programs too via their extension programs. THERE IS ZERO EXCUSE TODAY TO NOT BUILD SKILLS… either university or trade school or self taught… you better get some skills. Just don’t be a dumb normie becoming a debt slave and wander why you’re living paycheck to paycheck. I have well educated relatives WITH NEGATIVE NETWORTH because they are drowning in debt. Education does not have to be exorbitant if you actually make a game plan.

exactly this. Chainlink doesn't have to rely on VC money because they actually sold their tokens to use them to BUILD. I dont want to come across as this is "bullish selling", but chainlink labs has hired world class talent, bolstered their node operators, and been able to deliver on their promises better than any other project and didnt need to make sketchy promises to wall street sharks.

>That seems like such a ridiculously small cap Thats because the amount is actually tied to the value they secure. > were you able to stake yep. Ill have priority access for the next version to restake. Also dont forget BUILD rewards. Stakers in the first version will get free tokens for just staking early (50+ participants right now ) who have given chainlink a portion of their token supply to accelerate their ecosystem growth. https://blog.chain.link/chainlink-build-program/

This is FUD and cz already addressed this - they are dying to make binance look like ftx “4. More FUD about some departures. Yes, there is turnover (at every company). Alot of it is just shovelware garbage. They don't really have gameplay and end up being colossal time sinks, and thats coming from someone who has no problem sinking hours into gacha games. If they were to spend the time and create the game first then think about adding the NFT aspect like weapon skins or character skins that you then can buy/sell with whatever token it would probably end up being the better route. As of now its pretty much "OK HERES OUR TOKEN LETS BUILD OUT FROM THAT FIRST"

It's because Bitcoin can only handle ~5 transactions per second. Any time people start using it they find out it's unusable.. Bitcoin is #1 because of its distribution schedule halving to 0 over time. People are speculating on its future supply instead of its demand. This is why the meme is HODL and not BUILD USE CASES. It is not #1 based on utility or #1 based on fundamentals (the security budget racing to 0 isn't a *good* thing). Bitcoin couldn't replace fiat in 1 small city. Transaction fees would be so high you'd never afford to use it. It's not viable. You can't mine BTC anymore unless you have special connections to your energy supplier, hardware producer, or government. The barrier of entry to build your own blocks is higher than every other chain. The Bitcoin *plan* was everyone mints their own coins using energy they already have, the plan is over now with over 95% of all BTC already mined and *2* pools with 51% control over of the hashrate. Bitcoin doesn't adapt or evolve when new solutions emerge. It's not quantum resistant, will it ever be? It can't use Zksnarks, why not? *All* of its scaling is done off-chain, of course. Stratum v2 fixes pool centralization, no one uses it.. A new chain can meet our needs *without halving* (which is basically a pre-mine/ICO) while Bitcoin can't meet our needs. But any new chain won't have an "immaculate" launch like Bitcoin did so will be full of VCs and shady entities with profit motives on day1. There are trade offs to be made here. I think both will continue to grow and persist. If you're looking to dump your alts or whatever consider these are markets. When *fiat* is in high supply (cheap to borrow) all assets pump and when fiat is contracting all assets crash. Bitcoin has the highest liquidity so it will crash and pump the least. Fiat is *still contracting*. Betting on alts right now is betting a Fed pivot is very imminent. The Fed has been saying they will raise rates throughout the year, but one of their *two* tools is making statements like that so they lie all the time. Crypto's fundamentals do not matter in this economy lately, or good news would still send us propelling. I can't tell you what to do but if you're unsure you can always diversify and do both.

True your analogy is similar to Crypto games, if people are playing your game for Crypto then it is likely to become a dead game in a short span of time. BETTER TO BUILD A PROPER GAME AND THEN IMPLEMENT CRYPTO AS A UTILITY RATHER THAN IT BEING THE FACE OF THE GAME. same goes for the cc community, if we as a community have a great standing then the moons will definitely grow , but on the other hand if we are just known for moons then future is not bright for us

you're missing a lot of key factors tho. Consensys took money to BUILD the ETH network, the "many developers/many platforms" didnt exist, this is the common enterprise and profits derived from others. people were rewarded by getting premined ETH. and to your point about utlity tokens. the SEC in the ripple case is currently arguing if even a single Token was ever purchased and seen as an investment, then they're all securities. doesnt matter if down the line you can utlize them in variety of ways. Im not saying its a good nor valid argument but thats the SEC current postion.

Chainlink offers [LOTS](chain.link) of services that aren’t limited to bringing exclusively off-chain data, on-chain. For example their most recent service CCIP, allows CROSS-chain communication, which incidentally, is what SWIFT will be using too ;) In order to use Chainlink’s CCIP service, everyone (including SWIFT!) will have to pay in LINK But, why should node operators hold any LINK tokens and not just immediately sell like you suggested earlier? Well, Chainlink is also releasing staking in December. In order for node operators to get the most amount of jobs as possible, they must stake the most amount as well. I.e. The more LINK you stake, the more jobs will get allocated to you, meaning you can earn more LINK, meaning you can stake more LINK ad infinitum. Therefore, the whole ‘yeah why even hold LINK’ becomes null. Off the top of my head, those other services include: FSS, DECO, VRF, Price feeds and Keepers. Look up the upcoming BUILD program, that’ll blow ur melon brain to pieces lol Of these services (all of which require LINK to be used) DECO is in my opinion one of the most notable and probably one of the biggest achievements in recent crypto history. It’s both surprising and unsurprising how these achievements are flying under the radar. On the one hand they are quite literally ground breaking for the crypto industry helping pave the way for widespread industrial adoption, but other the other hand it seems people just fundamentally don’t understand the tech.

Decentralization and mass adoption have basically always been impossible to have together. It's like saying "well we should just stop being mean to each other". Yeah it's a theory most can agree on, and in practice is never going to happen without some serious shifts in society, and crypto isn't something that's going to cause those shifts. Instead, crypto might have value. Thus the usual systems that spread value are getting involved. This means centralization because as nice as it might be to not have things centralized, it's also nice to not lose all your money because you're an idiot/have a bad day. If your argument is "then it's not for idiots" then someone will BUILD one that is for idiots and hoover up the idiot sized market (which is, you know, huge). And because it's a market, there are options for those who want decentralized stuff. And as you can see, it's not super popular. To be clear there is no path forward at this time where crypto both catches on as a major part of the world, and remains decentralized. There's too many barriers. Now there might be some situations where crypto helps eliminate middle men (the confirmed transition of records and what not) but there's not some glorious utopia where the government and banks aren't involved in money, given they exist because of money.

Ok let me answers this in parts, because you are mentioning multiple different things. 1. Inheritance The kid gets the company, because the person that BUILD the freaking company decided it that way. And this is FAIR! Now as for the competence of the kid, the kid has the same dna as the parent, also has probably a lot of experience with the company and love for the company, the kid literally grew up with the company. Now if the kid is a moron then its very likely the parent will not put the kid in charge. Probably someone else will manage the company and also the extra voting rights that come with it. Yes the kid will probably be taken care off financially, but thats not the issue here. 2.contribute nothing I never said that minimal wage workers contributed nothing. You made up this straw men argument so u could try to make a point. The people that contribute nothing are the ones on welfare. I live in a welfare state, where people that are on welfare often get more then minimal wage workers, its completely ridiculous. Criminals would be a detriment to society. 3.lottery winner If this lottery winner needs to pay way more tax then yes he should get a boost in voting power for obvious reasons. 4. Conclusion There is a reason western society is on the brinks of collapse and its called democracy. We need way less Government and more free markets

Well, the discussion always brings up these points: 1 - What problem is crypto solving? 2 - What differs crypto investment from ponzi schemes? 3 - Why should we adopt a new system that's so energy dependent going forward with energy issues causing climate change etc? I try to answer as best I can but I just simply get downvoted into oblivion. The problem crypto solves, in my mind, is the central control of fiat by people who's goal is NOT wealth preservation. Crypto being largely decentralized means no bailouts, no overprinting and devaluing, and no central control to lose trust in. By the time crypto's volatility stabilizes and the market has more or less decided on pricing, it won't be an investment to BUILD wealth but rather to preserve it. For the ponzi scheme question, it seems silly because it's literally how stocks work, and given the volatility of crypto, it's not a steady upward trend where everyone who gets in is automatically getting in at a higher price than those before them. This notion that crypto "only works" if you have someone to sell to is insanely ignorant of what these projects represent. And finally with energy, my go to analogy is electric cars. If everyone had one, they'd be recharging them on the traditional power grid at night and therefor the complaint really has to do with the grid not crypto. Besides, there are projects that use VERY little energy, like iota. No matter how many times I repeat these answers, I see the same people spreading the same bullshit.

yeah but that's far too generalized. tax as a concept, fine, the problem is with what gets taxed, who gets taxed, when tax events occur, etc. It is bottomline just a shitty policy to tax crypto->crypto exchange. a tax event with crypto should ONLY trigger when offloading to fiat. And those offloads could simply BUILD THE TAX in to it, not require a fucking filing. I don't file all the sales tax I pay when I go buy my muscle milk and blunts at the bodega. All they're doing is making it obnoxious to use crypto, and even worse giving a lot of people pure shitty situations when the accounting screws up and "some exchange claims you did trades you didn't do." Fuck that shit, robber barons and their poorly coded / conveniently broken websites. **The only tax event with crypto should be when you use it to obtain fiat or goods directly. end of fucking discussion.**
