Just from using the wormhole bridge, qualified for the same amount from both my Solana wallet and my Ethereum (EVM) wallet. I'd say 90% of my airdrops are $1000+ and didn't require much of my own money to qualify(nor did they require much effort). JTO, DYM, JUP, ENS, ARB, etc. Next airdrop I'm getting is NIM, which I qualified for by staking part of second to last airdrop which was DYM, which I qualified for by holding a prominent NFT. It just kind of snowballs like that sometimes.

All I'm doing is farming airdrops. I put 1k into airdrop farming in July and I only wish I started earlier. I've gotten ZkLend, Manta, Mantle, Pyth, Dymension, like 15 different memecoins on SOL, Base and Aptos, Polyhedra and a few I'm probably forgetting. I also qualified for 2680 Wormhole tokens and 226 NIM tokens. Wormhole launches on Wednesday and its been 1.50 to 2.50 per token pre-market. ZkSync coming soon and I farmed it pretty hard. Plus Layer 0 eventually this year. My 1k is worth 15k now and the liquidity just goes into more tokenless protocols. Got 1 ETH in Eigenlayer as well and that will print. Gonna start cashing out 20% of my portfolio after Layer 0 drops so I can start realizing some of these profits.
Dude, hugely net positive. The lowest allocation for Jitosol was $10k+. Some of those names I mentioned are very big projects, and staking many of those airdrops (Tia, Pyth) leads to snowballing and earning more airdrops (Dymension, NIM). How are you equating legitimate airdrops from real projects to getting rugpulled? Yeah if you’re just following random bs ‘airdrop’ links on Twitter or something, you’ll probably get scammed. But if you’re actually using real projects & actively farming these protocols you’ll probably eat well. Sometimes airdrops are underwhelming and not worth the time but overall I don’t see how it wouldn’t be profitable…
As someone with semi-experience, I would advise you to, first of all, get your coins out of Coinbase. Not your keys, not your coins/property. Also staking rewards on Coinbase are (a lot) lower than staking rewards on the actual networks. For example, staking Atom on CB might seem reasonable, but you're not eligible to any of the free airdrops you'd get from staking Atom on the Cosmos hub, like TIA, DYM or recently NIM airdrops. If you want a pretty seamless experience, try the Algorand blockchain and Pera wallet. Not only do you get near instant finality on transactions, it'll only cost you 0,001 Algo in transaction fees and it's nearly impossible to get scammed or get flooded with scam-coins, because you have to opt-in through a smart contract to be able to receive a certain coin. For exchanges, I'd recommend Tinyman, it's very intiutive to swap, pool and/or farm. But hey, try it out yourself, see how the different networks work, what the fees are and draw your own conclusions :-)
Semi related Seen two different crypto games market AI "Agents" in their games in past 2 days. 1st was Parallel on Avax @ParallelTCG 2nd was NIM Network on Dymension @nim_network They're trying. The avax one has a high barrier to entry $$ wise.
Nimiq´s SuperSimpleSwap service was really similar. It was an atomic swap, where the liquidity was provided by TEN31 Bank (German banking license). The main issue was to use a SEPA instant payment, which is not a standard service everywhere in Europe, and there was a maximum monthly limit without KYC. If the transaction failed because the euro was not transferred to the account within the given time, than the transaction was cancelled, and if the money arrived anyhow next day, than it was transferred back to the sending account shortly. The service is not available in Europe since September 2022, and i do not think so that it will be resumed any soon. I have built up a big chunk of NIM bag, because this particular service was a great idea and it was in operation. My opinion is that with such a service and using DEXs it is possible to live without CEXs, but, the implementation for only in one region is easier, than worldwide, or the service provider must focus on some countries with bigger crypto use to be successful.

Can confirm, Basel III ratios are rough, banks need to optimize their balance sheets (Solvency + Leverage ratios) to be as light as possible while still remaining highly liquid (LCR + NSFR) and not be affected too much by rising interest rates (stressed NIM + EVE).

There's a coin called Nimiq, browser-based wallet. If you live in Europe, it should be possible to do a SEPA-transaction through them (I believe they employ Ten31, a German bank). You can sell both NIM and BTC. I've never tried it, though.
These are all on a CEX (gate.io or kucoin but not Coinbase), but i can share some smaller cap gambles I’ve been looking at. ROUT (Router Protocol) - VC backed, new website, roadmap, tokenomics a couple weeks ago and mainnet in a week. Had an AMA on Twitter with Polygon team a day ago. NIM (Nimiq) - browser based blockchain prioritizing super easy, graphically pleasing, streamlined on-ramp, BTC swapping, and wallet experience. They’re working on transition to PoS from PoW and have indicated they’ll focus on CEX listings and awareness thereafter. LYXe (Lukso) - Fabian Vogelsteller’s project (he authored ERC20), no mainnet yet, but fashion/creator/online identity focused blockchain intended to improve limits of NFTs. Some solid partnerships with fashion houses and brands like Nike already. Diluted market cap is already up there (vs other 2 I mentioned) but still seems to be an under-the-radar project.
ROUT (Router Protocol). Received like $4mm in VC back in December, just rolled out their new website, roadmap, and tokenomics, and mainnet goes live in a week or so. Cross-chain bridge + liquidity router (I think?) - not a ton of info out there, and you'll likely get rekt. I also have a soft spot for NIM (Nimiq) - they're transitioning to PoS from PoW and are supposedly going to focus on exchange listings and marketing thereafter - but I've been holding my NIM bags for years and it's super sleepy - bunch of bros in Costa Rica building nice things that maybe nobody will ever use.
fwiw, my random low cap shitcoin that i hold with blind hope for a brighter future is Nimiq (NIM). usability focused, web-first, PoW coin that's transitioning to PoS, and they've built an atomic swap fiat -> nimiq using SEPA instant for european bros. downside is that they do shit marketing and all just hang out in costa rica building clean UX that maybe nobody will ever use as the crypto world passes them by

Salamantex provides normal POS terminals to shops, you can pay with visa or MC, but you can ask to pay in crypto. If you choose NIM, the terminal displays a qr code, you scan it in the nimiq web wallet on your phone and just pay. According to ten31 bank 25% of the German POS terminals could be converted in this type of payment terminals. So old fashioned visa an MC can be used, but it would be possible to pay with crypto too.
In Austria there are a few hundreds POS terminals from salamantex, there you can pay with crypto for eg. Pizza, mobile or hotel room. The developers of nimiq made a video a few weeks before how they could pay with NIM for a pizza. As I know these terminals accept also ETH. On the website of salamantex there is a map with shops or services accepting crypto. Use coinmap.org, maybe you find something near to you in UK.

Well for starters, banks literally spell out their NIM. It definitely isn't 9.99% on average and their average interest rate is definitely not 10%. Bank NIMs are like 2% nowadays, maybe even less. This is the difference between what they charge for the loan and what they pay for the funding. Competition naturally drives what they can charge for a loan down. They can't fund at .01% and give mortgages at 10% because the bank down the street is giving mortgages at 3%.

Still very much an amaetuer when it comes to technical analysis, but thought I'd give it a crack on some crypto. NIMIQ is a sleeping giant in my opinion, the fundamentals, while still developing look quite promising, but we're not here for that, we're here to look at squiggly lines and hope they morph into something, or is that just the LSD? Again, I'm just a baby ape, still sucking the mummas tit on TA. NIM chart is looking like it has a long-term upwards channel currently happening (blue). Then there are two other triangle patterns in play over the medium and short-terms. The Yellow is a slight ascending triangle, that is looking for a breakout in that $0.0103-$0.0105 range, if this happens it should pop, especially with the current market environment. The red is a rising wedge, which looks like it's about to breakout in the same range of the ascending triangle. MACD is not on the favourable side for these, however, the RSI is in oversold territory, meaning it should turn and have a decent run after that. IMO in the short-term, this should have a good run ahead of it. Long-term it will grow but won't be a major growth until some further fundamentals come to fruition. If you have time, check out NIMIQ's community on here or on their website. Has a good team and solid foundation to bridge the gap between fiat currency and using to buy goods in bricks and mortar store using NIM and your phone. \*Any feedback on this chart from more experienced chartists would be greatly appreciated.

What EU bank do you have? Is there any chance it has SEPA instant capability? If yes, there is this thing called supersimpleswap .com recently launched, and they do not require KYC up to 1000$ per month as per EU antimoneylaundering law .. They offer only BTC and NIM (coin developed by the creators) at the moment .. but it is definitely worth trying. The only catch is you need SEPA Instant available bank account. It used to work with Transferwise account too but I guess you need to do KYC to get one. Cheers

yeah, Nimiq is a project that struck me for its extreme simplicity, the wallet browser does not need to be downloaded and it is easy to save the recovery code. Furthermore, the recent partnerships with Salamantex (an Austrian Fintech company specialized in payment solutions through digital assets) makes Nimiq much more versatile and widespread. I am really happy to be a holder and take advantage of each dip to add more NIM.

with a very low DCA amount like OP claims, i agree with you 100%. Assuming you don't want to leave on Coinbase or the like so transferring low amounts of multiple coins is bad. Also I'd go with BTC, ETH, Cosmos, Algo, ONE, NIM (as a wildcard)

NIM! Nimiq is pretty much a decentralized PayPal. I’m not good with words but the owner of Twitter and Square follows them on their Twitter with their measly 20k followers. To have DEX integration would be a game changer. Did I mention it is a new technology introducing the first Fiat Atomic Swap? So excited to see the future. I pick mine up on KuCoin!
