No one likes Charles. Focus on decentralization. ADA is a solid project. If I had to create a 1m portfolio I would put in BTC, ETH, ADA, XMR as my solid picks and the largest allocations and a few promising gambles as small positions like: ERGO, OASIS, MATIC, LINK. Wouldn't spread too thin in crypto, so I think that's plenty.

Wow, I'm getting flash backs to 1990 and all the failed attempts to re-popularize VR every 10 years and re-invent exactly that same VR/AR thinking over-&-over-&-over with more modern hip marketing language and higher rez LCD screens. I'm a little disappointed that the OP doesn't do justice to the hard work of Jaron Lanier, the real true pioneering inventor of VR & its Metaverse concept... who gave his soul and his company (VPL Research, Inc ) to birth VR, VR Gogles and VR Gloves and a tone of innovative VR code & VR tech that he conceived & created from nothing in 1985... yes that 7 years before Neal Stephenson penned Snow Crash in 1992. I don't know what's wrong with the VR /AR experience and every attempted incarnation of the Metaverse since 1990, but its going to be a long time before the OASIS is anywhere near real\*. IMO

Haha yea, most people go for the BUZZ more than practical solutions. ZK is buzzworthy, so numba go up. To be fair it has great potentially, especially for scaling. But it simply is not what everyone wants it to be. I do like dawn song, and the team. I use SCRT personally because there is already so much to use live on main net. The attack by the white hat group including Andrew Miller was a great step forward for the space. Amd to be fair, the response fro. The network and fix was done in conjunction with the white hat group. There is a reason the publishing of their attack was pubkished same day as the fix notes on SCRT. And to be fair, the exploit effected OASIS as much as SCRT, the group simply did not attack oasis due to them being on testnet rather than mainnet. Altho oasis has an extra mitigation with permissioned validators. Still I do see where you are coming from. I am really looking forward to seeing more from oasis and sapphire specifically.

With all the hype over work-from-home models in recent years, you'd think people would be all over this OASIS concept by now.

There's a good number of privacy coins that haven't really been battle tested. Secret and ZCash have issues but they're still largely functional and have proven some level of privacy. OASIS, HUSH, DUSK, ARRR, ZEN, BEAM, etc. are all interesting but I don't have a good enough grasp on the tech or math to fully understand the best pick among them and so I see them all as having potential, but where I withhold judgement. Doesn't help their case that privacy dapps and wrapped assets can eat their early growth.
I imagine in that future you may win a couple trillion if you find the hidden easter egg in a metaverse called the OASIS and perhaps this adventure will be called Ready Player One and is directed by Steven Spielberg.

I logged into Decentraland to give it a shot. Then I logged out after maybe 10-15 minutes and haven’t went back. I wasn’t impressed but I do realize it’s early. The concept won’t be fully fleshed out for some time. My hope is that it lays the groundwork for a nondystopian future where people have an OASIS like system like what was in Ready Player One. That would be neat.
Look into OASIS Network and OASIS Labs. They basically allow training neural networks and data science on large patient medical datasets without compromising the patient's data privacy. I work at a startup in the digital healthcare industry and we plan on heavily relying on their platform in the future

I want to make some super diverse selections but treat them like one singl section in my portfolio. Essentially try to make my own versions of a stock EFT. So I'll want something like: 15% BTC 15% A mix of 50 major alt coins 10% ETH 10% HBAR 10% Fantom 10% CHAINLINK 10% OASIS And so on. Not sure how i could easily add money to my selection of 50 ALTs without doing it manually though. If anyone has any ideas please let me know!

ok so if I'm Activision, what's my motivation in making a gun from Halo work in CoD? Why would I want some dickhead who paid 343 $5 for his assault rifle to be able to come over to use it in my game, when he should be paying me $5 to buy an assault rifle in CoD? If I keep it within my own ecosystem of games, same question. Why would I want somebody to be able to bring over his skins and guns when planned obsolescence via annual updates already makes all the money I can squeeze out of him? Why have a blockchain? Why make something decentralized when, as a corporation who controls the game, it is in my interest to keep things as *centralized* as possible? Unless the future is one in which every person in the world only hangs out in one place owned by one corporation (aka the OASIS from ready player one or the Metaverse from snow crash or Roblox) I don't see NFTs having a future in gaming.

I like the privacy aspect of it, but such a huge competition in L1 space right now. I'm already all in on ALGO, not sure OASIS can catch up fast. If it does, it's a 10x return and it will trade at 2.75$ 🤔 I'm just worried it's a little risky. What's the APY on it now? Is it cheap, fast and easy to move around? Are you using their official wallet? I may throw a bit into it for the moment and keep a close eye on the way it develops.

Looking at Sandbox vs Decentraland, I’m feeling like SAND has better legs. It really feels like they are going for a combination of Minecraft and Roblox. Which sounds like Gen Z meta-crack to me. In the end, seems like it could be very similar to The OASIS in RPOne. Everyone gets to create games on the land they own. You can earn items and equipment NFTs in one area and take them into any other. If Wizards of The Coast buys a plot, then you’ll know the nerds are all-in!
