I just say i buy bitcoin and have 2 pension investment plans and 1 longterm savings investment. The pension investments and longterm savings are at 4,5% average profit and i get 1000eu tax deduction each year aswell. If they ask why bitcoin i ask them why they are not investing in bitcoin. If you look at bitcoin from 2009 till now and you look at the future prognoses you are STUPID if you dont invest. I mostly dont say anything about it tho unless im asked or we have a conversation about it.
Yeah it sucks. My parents took out 2 fucking mortage loans on the house for a scam investment. Had to file for bankruptcy and move into a shitty apartment all, while i was only 18 years old and just graduated from highschool. Parents have good intentions but man they are SOO STUPID. The biggest gripe I have is once the global asset managers like Black Rock and others get involved with their ETF's, it now becomes subject to price fixing and manipulation. Bring on the derivatives (tether and stables not derivatives but also create an existential double edged sword of free market price discovery). London spot market fixing, if you will. Basically, once the big boys get involved the ability to suppress and manipulate price discovery becomes a force that even most whales (prior price swing manipulators) can not even reckon with. Its evolution from both a completely laughed at joke by high finance, while at the same time posing an existential threat to their power, they've fully embraced the "if you can't eliminate it then join them to control them" philosophy. Based on the speed of corporate and government adoption to gain control, it's important to remember: 1. Not your keys not your coins 2. Don't put all your eggs in one basket - Monero I see as a legitimate hedge against the evident march to fascism, the "guns, butter and liquor" of cryptocurrency. Idiot. Let me explain. There was a bug that needed to be fixed. It would be STUPID to let those transactions exist. This was not forced. A fix was made very quickly and people had to decide whether to softfork or not. Yes in a way It is a rollback as those next few blocks don't exist in the current chain anymore. This was not forced. No one person made the call. There was a bug, the community identified it and fixed it incredibly fast and it was soft forked. You say " BTC was rolled back" is if some nefarious actor forced this upon the protocol lol. Shut the fuck up. The BTC community fixed it at an incredible pace with very little impact on the protocol. This is why we Bitcoin. Fixing this bug was absolutely a good thing ya freakin turd stain.
