Also ATOM one of the worst performing coins close to a new absolute low since '21 if BTC drops 5% more lol for rid of it at 11€ luckily... Really bittersweet but still not as bad as ADA I guess

Mentions:#ATOM#BTC#ADA

I'm going with a mix. BTC, SOL, AVAX, ATOM, FET, INJ, GRT, DOT and WIF.

Where do you hold ATOM to get those airdrops?

Mentions:#ATOM

ATOM isn't the worst investment. It's practically a stablecoin with the added benefit of regular airdrops. Been holding my bag for 2 years and I'm only up 4% after the weekend dip, but getting TIA, DYM, and SAGA drops in the last few months has made holding worthwhile. Also, I reckon HBAR might be a slow burner. Its governance council is outrageous - Google, IBM, Boeing, Deutsche Telekom, Nomura, Dell, Standard Bank, LG + many more. Rarely in the limelight, but it's growing.

* ATOM / BTC at a new ATL * ALGO / BTC at a new ATL * **and... BTC is still at 62K.** Some people were telling me on my post yesterday - That ALT/BTC charts are disingenuous. What those people still don't realize is that if BTC continues to retrace lots of ALTS will be falling beneath their recent bear market lows.

My TIA and INJ bags are down 15%. ATOM bag still green. Made over $2k in airdrops since February. Not phased.

What's in ur opinion biggest dissapointment coin that was sth last run: ADA, MATIC, DOT, XTZ or ATOM?

everyone bashing the op, but this is the most common denominator in crypto…otherwise we would all be rich. The bear market is ruthless and no one knows how low it’s going to get, and when most people invest huge amounts of money in a bull run they are hesitant to keep investing more, it’s called human nature. I was lucky I was an early investor in DIMO and used that airdrop on $20 dollar SOL, to try to diversity I invested evenly with ATOM and AVAX, guess what SOL was the only one that gave bull run results. In January I swapped my avax and atom for Bitcoin, good move, Got in at around 43k, but the better move should have been buying Bitcoin at the beginning instead of avax and atom. Live and learn, it’s the only way!

I've received drops a lot (well into 5 figures) from just holding $ATOM (Cosmos) so that should also be on your radar.

In past times of stress (i.e. when a lot of people have been making transactions, like February 2022) a lot of networks just failed to work. Algorand and Cosmos were two that did not fail. That made a big impression on me. If you're of a "not your keys = not your coin" philosophy, then you need a network that is going to work in times of stress. If you're using a network that effectively goes down with congestion, or becomes too expensive to use in the same scenarios, then you effectively have to keep your coins on a CEX or you'll never be able to use them when it counts. Granted, that's not necessarily the to-the-moon narrative, but I can see why people love ALGO more than making money (and ATOM for a similar reason).

Nah, after the whole LUNA fiasco, the Cosmos ecosystem has been affected by the network effects. Former ATOM / SCRT / LUNA / OSMO bag holder here.

It looks a solid project. There's been some hype around it for a while. Main airdrop for ATOM and TIA stakers. Like TIA and DYM before it, I will probably stake it. Don't use Binance. Don't care what Binance users do with whatever they farm before Tuesday. But looking forward to seeing what the project can do.

Mentions:#ATOM#TIA#DYM

It's definitely stable, but dead? TBC I guess. I'm a massive fan of the Cosmos ecosystem. It's still super active in terms of development and governance. New project are utilizing the tech and still dropping to ATOM stakers. I'm comfortable holding for now. My ATOM bag is only up 40%, but I've made more than enough from airdrops to make holding it all this time worthwhile. TIA, DYM, with SAGA (looks like it might be another big one) and HAVA coming next week.

Is ATOM dead? Seems like it just can’t recover & has been sadly one of the worst performers in my port - I want to believe in it, but I am debating converting to a project that is more likely to perform well in this bull run.

Mentions:#ATOM

What features? ATOM doesn't have anything built on it. It's just a mascot chain for the ecosystem. It's main selling points were staking rewards, airdrops, and primary onramp for ecosystem liquidity. But the latter isn't even relevant anymore as plenty of other Cosmos L1s can be purchased on CEXs now. ICS could be a reason to own it, but personally I think that whole endeavor will be a nothingburger. Airdrops are the only reason I would ever suggest anyone hold any.

Mentions:#ATOM

FYI I don't recommend starting staking in the middle of bull if you have not been into it. It will take awhile to get good airdrops and locking your assets could cost opportunities. I would start doing that for the next bear. Unless you are deadset on holding ATOM. In that case staking is better than holding on exchanges and is very easy with something like Keplr wallet.

Mentions:#ATOM

Yeah... holding ATOM on exchange is like holding a stablecoin. It will go up if dumb money floods the market but there are far better bets.

Mentions:#ATOM

But long term, isn't it still gonna be ATOM that's gonna be more the go to coin to buy if Cosmos does well?

Mentions:#ATOM

Hold and stake. Atom airdrops are the best, DYM and TIA gave me 2x my atom bag alone. Hopefully in the future the ATOM token itself gets some proper demand

Mentions:#DYM#TIA#ATOM

What's your reason for holding it? Is it for the tech/utility and the potential that has long term as an investment and more reliable holding? If that's the case, there's not gonna be too many better options than Cosmos. If you're just looking for quick gains or big upside just within this a bullmarket cycle, there's gonna be better options, but ATOM should still have some decent upside simply by having attractive tech features, not being at risk on tanking on tech failures.

Mentions:#ATOM

I just staked ATOM and was eligible for 2.6m Hava coins.. so yea

I'm at the point where every larger dip is another excuse to purchase. Grabbed a bit more ETH, BTC, DOT and ATOM today. Staking the latter two.

Just continuing to sit on my BTC/ETH bags. Play with a small chunk in L2 lending (stables) and liquidity pools (again, stables or stables paired with eth). Holding a real bag of ATOM for airdrops. Otherwise I keep some change parked on an exchange and have a few gambles on other coins that I don’t plan on holding long. I’ve consolidated a lot in the bear market and beginning of the bull. I used to hold a bunch of different stuff but like 90%+ of the portfolio is BTC/ETH and stables now. I’m bullish but also in my 3rd cycle. Took some profits last time but cautiously monitoring this run as I want the outcome to be me rebalancing out a bit to fund some more joy in life.

ALGO, ATOM, XLM, XRP, and DOT are green and I don’t know how to feel about it…

it's funny that we can't really tell whether ATOM, ADA and all those other altcoins that were hot last bullrun and haven't really gone up a lot yet are yet to have their run or if abstract use case ideas and L2 don't matter this altseason. for what it's worth, i expect AI coins to continue to ouperform last altseason's darlings, and i don't expect much from my bags of ALGO, LRC, QNT and HBAR CKB has performed nicely though and i'm up 3X with LINK, too

Not at all healthy imo, the ATOM_BTC pair keeps hitting new lows and small pumps like yesterday die the very next day.

Mentions:#ATOM#BTC

I remember reading through the similar posts last time around and ending up with bags of LUNA, ONE, LRC, SOL, ATOM, MATIC. All seemed lile reasonably good projects, They all made sense untill they weren't. I am back in green on SOL just recently, after 3 years. All the rest are red.

Do you have some numbers on the founders of other chains, like BTC, ETH, SOL, ATOM,... ?

Do you have some numbers on the founders of other chains, like BTC, ETH, SOL, ATOM,... ?

I sold that much last bull run via Bisq with no issues. Use 3 different banks and deposit a few grand at a time. Its peer to peer so the bank wont know ots crypto. Alternatively you can stake it in ATOM at 15% and earn $1250 per month passive income and only cash that out monthly (again, peer to peer). Hodlhodl is good too.

Mentions:#ATOM

I am also heavy on alts! Very keen on synthetix: SNX, DAFI, LDO, etc. Sadly not so bullish on the ATOM and DOT ecosystems, which I am still holding with big losses and considering selling for liquidity to invest in others...

imo coins from the past cycle (matic, atom, algo ...) wont make it this cycle. there is another trend like gaming, ai, meme.... and as we all know or most of us - the trend is your friend. sometimes you need to cut losses and swap/shift it into something more fresh/potential. but thats just my opinion. even if their technology is good... it has to mean nothing. same as partnerships and more. and if i look on MATIC/ATOM chart its terrible imo.

Reading the comments here gives you a valuable lesson. Older altcoins usually don't get hyped after their initial run and struggle to ever reach a new ATH. It's the new ones that make the crazy gains. Then again altcoin season hasn't even started yet so we should wait and see. The likes of ADA, DOT, ATOM, MATIC, LTC etc. are at rock bottom vs BTC.

Still hopeful for ATOM.

Check out Twitter accounts like Airdrops_One and Cosmos_Airdrops. They also have websites if you don't use Twitter (cosmosairdrops.io, airdrops.one) Always check the Twitter handles on comments, and don't click on links in replies to official posts, and this is a tactic that scammers use. The only ATOM airdrop I can think of that is available for claim right now is SAGA. It has a very specific criteria though - you needed to increase your staked ATOM between the first and last snapshots, both taken sometime last year. But worth checking if you're eligible I guess. And keep an eye on the sites above!

Mentions:#ATOM

BTC/ETH. Bland, but it's true. For alts, I'm in on ATOM (been holding it since the last bull run, as I left it staked too long and lost too much money on it to make it worth selling. I'm averaging down as time goes on), DOT, ADA, LRC, HBAR, CRO, and my moonshot is BOSON.

Also swapped half of my ATOM bag for FET. Seems like the old dudes aren’t the best one any more in this cycle

Well said! Thanks for taking the time to respond. I guess if you truly have conviction in the product, then holding through turbulent times shouldn't be difficult. For example, I do believe in BTC, and have no issues with it dropping 20% in a day. But when I see THETA, KDA, or ATOM drop like that, it's more nerve wrecking because my conviction isn't as strong. But thanks again foe the comment, wishing you all the best with your crypto journey!

This is why I love the Cosmos Ecosystem. So much easier to do all the things you listed and navigate. Modular, scalable, ibc... ATOM is very underrated.

Mentions:#ATOM

That's exactly why I hold BCH/ADA mainly. Few cool projects as a maybe (ICP, AR, ATOM). XMR... Nah, I have none, it's all lost in that tragic accident. And BTC as a speculative asset.

All quiet on the airdrop front, which was a major catalyst for the pump, but announcements and snapshots can come out of the blue so I don't plan on unstaking anytime soon. FYI since relevant, 9 days left to claim the SAGA airdrop. ATOM and TIA stakers were eligible.

Mentions:#ATOM#TIA

FET is quite safe bet. Atleast will move uptrends faster than ATOM.

Mentions:#FET#ATOM

I just swapped halft of my ATOM bag to FET. Jeez feeling so genius with my 150$

Mentions:#ATOM#FET

What's your avg but price? Mine's $4.50 and I figure $25 is a good exit price. It's tough to tell with altcoins that have been around for awhile. They may not reach a new ATH, but if you buy the bottoms (or close to), you can still get a 2x, 3x, 4x... ATOM's ATH is $45. If it hits half that, that's still almost a 5x from the bear market lows.

Mentions:#ATH#ATOM

Idk what to do with my lost ATOM bag

Mentions:#ATOM

Current portfolio has been BTC, ETH, ADA, DOT, and ATOM for a couple years. Any new alts I should check out? Or should I just keep stacking my current holdings?

AVAX is hot still and only needs 3x to be ATH and ADA less than 5x. Those are easy targets in a 3 trillion dollar market cap. The only coin you mentioned that probably won't be as hot will be LRC and maybe DOT. But ATOM will be great since so many L1s are coming from it. Although I believe the bull market is a year ahead of schedule all these coins will pump once BTC settles and we could be there soon.

And solana is the exception, not the rule. Look at LRC, AVAX, ADA, DOT, LINK, ATOM, etc. many alts that melted face last run aren’t close to their ATH yet and we don’t know if they’ll make it.

I'm kinda fine if it doesn't go parabolic. In the end, I'm looking to gauge the longevity of the project. I'm fine with the passive income if $ATOM has the staying power.

Mentions:#ATOM

Nah, ATOM isn't going anywhere, especially not to $45. I say this owning some ATOM. It's only for airdrops and staking rewards at this point.

Mentions:#ATOM

I have a nice sized bag of $ATOM. Bought the first part of it at $3 and the 2nd part this past bear market at $6. What's everyone's thoughts, is a return to $45 (ATH) a real possibility? What's the blow-off top potential? I ask because I make about $225 per month from staking and am deciding if I should just stick to it or sell for more bitcoin? Besides moons, ATOM is my only alt.

Mentions:#ATOM#ATH

So do you expect me to throw in predictions about the price of CRO aswell? I conservatively assumed no price fluctuations to give a clear picture of the benefits. I am familiar with Cosmos, but investing is a human science, if you will. I believe in the fundamentals of ATOM but I also believe in the convincing power of CEXs on people with their offerings. Like we saw in the previous bull market, CRO can have a run when they give out these returns. I try to position myself ahead of the curve and cash out in about 6 months.
