Yes, merchants did not want them (extra effort, so of course), but the public really, really did, And look what happened? And very quickly. NFTs you see nothing from either side. And the Letterman show, someone else posted it so you can easily check it (but it was Mark Cuban's company doing the sports broadcast work, they were just asking Gates about it since he is a good guy to ask about that sort of thing) \- He was not mocked at all. Letterman threw in a couple of easy jokes because he's a late-night comedy talk show host. And that is what they do. \- This sort of thing is called an "interview" where the interviewer asks the interviewee questions that the general audience may have or may find interesting. To give the interviewee the opportunity to address them and to educate them. So OF COURSE HE WILL ASK QUESTIONS LIKE "WHY DO WE NEED THIS?" \- And when Gates answered them, you can see that Dave understood and accepted the answer and it made sense to him \- And importantly, he actually had real, beneficial use cases he could cite. As for your NFT examples, pretty much none of that needs NFTs to do. It is a business model thing. If companies want you to be able to do that. L like you can resell your ticketmaset purchased tickets. On their platform. You can buy and sell in-game assets. On their platform. And for ones they want you to be able to. Why would a game company want to enable you to sell your digital based game, cannibalizing their own sales for a much, much lower net margin? But probably the dumbest one you said - airline tickets. Seriously? Think about that for a minute. You buy airline tickets, not take the flight, and resell them on an open market for a price you ask for. Can you think of any way that that would be abused and lead to massive problems? I'll give you a hint - concert tickets. Oh, and when airlines want to let you, you can already transfer tickets to someone else. Again, a business model thing. NFTs add no value or extra benefical in that case. just extra steps and cost. Not just cost to use, but cost to deploy and maintain the system.

> That does not change the fact that the Bitcoin chain that we use today is not the original one. It was not the miners that collaborated. Non upgraded clients would still follow the chain with the fix, not the one with the glitched in insane amount of BTC. Satoshi couldn't achieve the above just by decreeing it, he had to ASK the DECENTRALISED community of miners to mine that version, and they did.

I bite. Make it a reality. You can spend Monero in many different places already. If you give them their business the incentives for them to grow and tell others about it will align with your self-interest to spend at more places. * https://cryptwerk.com/market/home/monero/ * https://moneromarket.io/ * https://monerica.com/ And most importantly: #ASK It doesn't cost you anything and most business need to feel some demand and or pain before making some effort to integrating a new currency into their POS. On average a person has around 1 to 5 opportunities per day to ask a merchant, supplier, service provider if they accept crypto like Monero. Many people will want to start slowly before announcing their general acceptance of crypto/Monero publicly. Maybe you are their only customer able to pay with crypto at first. Help them create a safe experience.

I did not have any malice intended and I seriously am genuinely interested in your trauma, otherwise I would never have engaged this conversation at all. I'm sorry if that felt like a cheap jab. I do not pay fees if I can avoid it, which for many cryptos is impossible, and I get that – but banks, you can usually move money for free. It isn't complicated. I don't get why you think it's complicated. There is no fee. I'm saying schedule, but really what I mean is "before it's too late." Before the scheduled payment comes out? You know? Which is why I'm not averse to using my bank or crypto funds. The fees are nil because I have practiced this, and I know how to avoid the fees. I have been burned by fees, that is part of my trauma. >Or... OR! And hear me out on this one because it might sound crazy: you could just ASK YOUR BANK. These things are regulated Are they? And this call is being recorded, is it? Hmm. I wonder if that will ever work in my favor. I've done that, bro, and it is deeply unpleasant. Like this conversation has been. I hope the rest of your day is better, whether you have one bank or many banks in your future. (Or no banks at all!)

Mentions:#ASK#BANK
r/CryptoCurrencySee Comment

> I haven't heard you make one solid argument for why that's a bad idea - "too complicated" or "costs money" are both variables What do you mean you haven't heard any solid arguments? "too complicated" I never said but "costs money" and "doesn't do anything besides complicating things" is exactly the argument not to do it. Do you not realize that all your tests and checks are utterly worthless should your bank or crypto exchange or blockchain of choice break down? What does it help you that you spent and rebought your bitcoin every month, all the while incurring unnecessary taxes on these transactions, when once the exchange/blockchain DOESN'T allow you to withdraw or transact, none of your prior tests will help you? You're delusional if you think you can avoid losing your money by "spending and replacing on a schedule" especially if it comes to crypto. Even with banks I don't see how it helps you to move your money around. Not having all money in one account might save you from a single bank failing, yes. Moving money around doesn't contribute to that. > Ever heard of rotating your keys? It's a good idea for opsec reasons to rotate your keys on some schedule Yes I did and no this is absolutely not the same as "spending and replacing some bitcoins on a schedule". You're not "rotating your keys", you're just throwing money out the window for no good reason. > I think you should move your coins because you should have an idea of what it costs You can get this idea perfectly well without ever moving one sat of crypto. Have you ever heard of tx fee calculators? There's whole websites dedicated to just showing you the transaction fees for almost any crypto. **Why do you think you need to actually move it to know what it will cost? Especially if you consider that fees are dynamic with most blockchains and your tests don't tell you a single relevant information in terms of cost for any future transaction.** My man, with every sentence you write trying to explain your reasoning it becomes ever more clear that you really haven't thought this through. > I suspect that's where our disagreement actually stems from, but you don't want to admit it because you're a small-blocker. No, I believe I was rather clear on where I disagree with you: Moving around cash or crypto is useless and only costs you money. I don't know what you mean by "small-blocker" but whatever you think that insult to mean, it's got nothing to do with why you're objectively wrong in your assumptions and reasoning. > I think the same about my banks. If one bank takes 4 days to move money and the other bank takes only one day, that's an operational characteristic of the bank that I won't know if I'm not moving money around. Or... OR! And hear me out on this one because it might sound crazy: you could just ASK YOUR BANK. These things are regulated. They have to tell you how long a transaction will take. It's in their terms and conditions. Again, you're incurring extra work and potentially extra fees to get an information you've already been provided when you signed up with the bank and which you otherwise could get for free at any point in time by JUST ASKING. > So I am glad you got a good bank and good relationship with them hope they never lock you out of your money. How does moving my money around on any random schedule help me with that once they do lock me out, though? > hell, I used to work for one of these banks As a janitor or a teller at best, maybe. You don't seem to grasp basic operation and regulation concepts of any proper bank according to your own words. > Surely it's a good idea to incur your tax liabilities little-by-little not all-at-once. This doesn't help you here at all. You're just incurring ADDITIONAL UNNECESSARY tax liabilities by doing it your way. > Honestly, if you have more than one crypto token then why wouldn't you have more than one bank? Because a crypto token and a bank are two completely different things. I don't need two banks to hold EUR and USD. I can do that perfectly fine with just one bank, just one account and no moving of funds on any schedule whatsoever. > because all banks won't open you an account at all once your credit is no good. (Ask me how I know.) I don't need to ask. You showing it over and over again: you don't understand this stuff. You are financially illiterate AND you don't realize that you are. > Honestly, you're the one with a problem. I never said I had a problem, I just said I move my money and you had a whole conniption fit "you shouldn't do that" Buddy, you're on the internet. Commenting on a thread about avoiding high fees with BTC. Nobody asked you but you decided to comment your nonsense about "spending and replacing your crypto on a schedule". What did you expect how others would take this? Did you think everybody else would just go "oh, that's just a random stranger mumbling to himself" or maybe rather that you tried to provide an answer or at least to contribute to the discussion? Of course you could get feedback to your comment and in this case it wasn't positive. I don't believe that's a "conniption fit", my man. > I think you have some unresolved trauma you're not telling me about. I do and I won't tell you because it doesn't relate to the issue at hand. But also because you can't even take care of yourself, apparently. Why would I trust you with MY trauma. lol. Also: that's a cheap and unnecessary jab.

it blows my mind that companies, especially Coinbase, that TRY SO HARD to stay compliant, literally ASK THE GOVT for help in staying compliant, and our fuckin govt slaps a big red label saying LAWSUIT on it instead of actually HELPING TF is that bullshit?! It sounds like you’re using a “hot” wallet (software wallet). You’ll definitely want to ditch that fast, like yesterday. A software wallet isn’t very safe, especially for large amounts of coin because it’s connected to the internet. Get a hardware wallet. Your keys are stored in the device not your laptop, and the device never connects to the internet. I use Ledger and haven’t had any problems. However, there’s been ongoing controversy with Ledger as of late, and many people are avoiding them now. IF THE HARDWARE WALLET YOU PURCHASE COMES WITH SEED WORDS ALREADY WRITTEN DOWN, DO NOT USE IT. Store your seed words on a piece of paper or steel in a safe place that only you have access to. Keeping them in a fire/flood proof box is always a good idea. NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TYPE OR ENTER YOUR SEED WORDS INTO YOUR COMPUTER OR PHONE. NO LEGITIMATE PROVIDER SUCH AS COINBASE OR LEDGER WILL EVER ASK FOR YOUR SEED WORDS. DON’T TAKE A PICTURE OF THE PAPER YOUR SEED IS WRITTEN ON. NEVER TELL ANYONE WHERE YOUR SEED WORDS ARE STORED. NEVER EVEN MENTION THAT YOU OWN A HARDWARE WALLET OR HOW MUCH BTC YOU HAVE. DO NOT RESPOND TO DMS FROM ANYONE. THEY ARE SCAMMERS. Let me know if you have any other questions.

>I enumerated instances where the government did far more work then just asking a question. So you think that the government can just ASK for a subpoena and get it? >Making it illegal for consenting individuals to use their own money how they want to does not change the fact that you would be stealing by taking it from them. The risk of the government trying to block crypto is way higher than the risk of the government trying to steal YOUR crypto. Why ASK for a million subpoenas when you can just make it illegal? That's my point. >But regardless, the point I made is that you would support many instances of the forceful seizure of other people’s money that you’ve been downplaying, and your “but it’s the law” nonsense confirms that. I don't support governments overreaching, and I believe they should just leave crypto alone. That has nothing to do with the government going against an individual because they did something ilegal. If you fall for a scam I'm pretty sure you would love if the government could recover your coins. One is an argument of legality, which is where subpoenas fall, and another is a full on disregard for our social fabric by thinking that the government is out to get YOU. If government could just steal your money we wouldn't have a debt crisis.

FYI banking in the UK is incredibly stupid. As a Canadian immigrant, it took me MONTHS to be able to even open an account because I couldn't qualify for a loan. Volunteer to teach a college age crypto enthusiast how to do laundry or make soup. Warren Buffet doesn't talk about crypto, people ASK HIM ABOUT CRYPTO. >According to Powell, a proof-of-reserve audit is valid if it comes with proof of client balances and wallet control. “I said I was going to be more assertive with calling out problems. This is one of them. ‘Reserves’ = assets minus liabilities. ‘Reserves’ = list of wallets… Proof of reserves audit must have: 1. sum of client liabilities (auditor must exclude negative balances) 2. user-verifiable cryptographic proof that each account was included in the sum 3. signatures proving that the custodian has control of the wallets.” The Kraken founder highlights that using a Merkle Tree to allow users to verify the crypto they own on an exchange is “pointless” as it does not reveal the centralized platform’s liabilities. Merkle Trees are data structures that can enable users to quickly verify certain information without showing an entire data set. A lot of people in this sub was excited at Binance's Merkle tree verification system. Though, it is a good step in a right direction, it doesn’t give any solution to the problem of liability. Merkle tree will atleast do one good thing, that they can't send off your funds to some other firms (like FTX did with Alameda); but again, we all know that there are so many methods through which they can fuck up. Instead of doing so many things, they could simply show the account document with assets and liabilities. IT IS NOT TOO MUCH TO ASK.

Correct. Every trade involves a party and a counterparty. When supply pressure is greater than demand pressure, sellers are forced to sell at the BID in order to get filled immediately. On the Level 2 or Order Book, there are only so many orders sitting on that side of the spread. So once all bids are taken out at price x, the bid drops to x-1. And so and so forth. The same is true for demand pressure and the ASK price. The market is just a live auction between numerous buyers and sellers. Hope that explains it clearly.

Beware what you invest in…. Once ETH merge is complete and gas fees are no longer are an issue , some of these L2 are done for. No more use case, no purpose, looking at LOLoopring in particular. You already have to swap out LRC for ETH to buy NFT’s at the GME marketplace right now. What do u think will happen when its only advantage (Lower gas fees) is gone ?!?!? There is a reason why those scam artist wants u LRC folks to move ur token to their own wallet, cause when the dump happens , y’all are out of luck…. THINK IS ALL I ASK OF U!!!!!!

Not seeing it as an asset is the FIRST STEP to stay cautious, when you are serious about your investment. If you insist SEEING IT AS AN ASSET RIGHT FROM THE BEGINNING, then at least give equal respect just like how you would with the real world ASSET. STOP BELIEVEING IN CHARTS, LOCATE GOOD PROJECTS, DO DUE DILIGENCE ALWAYS remember that not all cryptos are assets, some might become a burden. DONT RUSH, ASK, AFFIRM & ABIDE

POS is for riches, I am on POW indeed. maybe this is just a point got wrong moment the GIST is "FIND THE PURPOSE BEFORE YOU INVEST" Do not just go with something that someone said "IT WILL GO TO THE MOON" long before for just posting what I thought about LUNA, I was kicked out. That's okay - if there are scams it doesn't mean all are scams. But it is sad to see people getting manipulated with numbers. ASSUMING AND ACTING - NEVER WORKS ASK, AFFIRM & ABIDE

It seems the APY is broken, check the rates on the BID/ASK table, they're at the maximum 0.02% daily which is 7.3% annually, and the ones at 0.02 aren't usually taken as they're for 120 days. People most of the time go for the 2 days. So they're not offering a 30%, they have a 4-7% APY.

for sure... \- Merchants have to opt in \- Consumer have to know if the merchant has opted in \- Consumers probably have to ASK the merchant if they have the strike pay rails (so much friction here...) Mass adoption of the Strike pay rails may happen, but not for the next 1-2 years for sure.

To everyone around here who needs to find the best option is you moving all their fund into a new secure wallet. Why? Because it means their wallet is compromised and it's just a matter of hours that somebody else will steal it. When the owner wants his crypto back, you send them back to him minus 10% recovery fee. You can create a quick invoice stating that you charge xxx amount for your time. DO NOT ASK THEM FOR PERMISSION TO SEND ONLY 90% **OR ELSE YOU WOULD HOLD THEIR TOKENS**, because that would be blackmailing. You need to send them right away to them MINUS your recovery fees.

To answer your questions. Same here in my case. Govt employees. Although I'm from chinar complex, udhampur so yah. I can see the difference already. 😂 Secondly. DCA is only good for conventional assets with dividends which is also one reason why your returns are this low. I'll suggest going for a comparator method. And let me give you a small hint. Binance, the parent company of wazirx updates 8 seconds before wazirx updates. Now if you are smart enough then you will know what to do with that info. And now I'm actually laughing. 😂 Central govt DID ASK FOR FUEL TO BE INCLUDED UNDER GST. 😂 State govts declined as its a large chunk of revenue for them. This was before covid. Always remb daru, sutta aur petrol/diesel, yehi bas asli taxation methods hain India me. Btw i was just in vancouver last week and the price of petrol is 136 ruppes a liter so yah. We kind of have cheaper fuel. Potentially will be even cheaper since the Russian deal. I'll say Google gst on hydrocarbons in india once. It was already under consideration before being blocked. And hey, fellow IIT madras dude. I also have my Mtech from there.

I learned my lessons the hard way watching Carlton Sheet’s infomercials on how to get rich in real estate. Only one getting rich was the one selling the “systems”. Amway and Rainbow vacuums. They all sounded good when the presenter was talking real fast and didn’t give u a chance to ask questions. ASK the questions even if u have to hunt down ur own answers. And if you have questions, that’s ur first sign it might be a scam. If you don’t have questions, you done got scammed.

>So can we rephrase it to 'Get rekt quick' then 'Get rekt quick for the apes. All these idiots who pour money into degen projects. It's incredible how irresponsible are people with their money. You can have a project with real life identities attached but it won't save simpletons from losing their money. Then you get simpletons grouped into hodling a coin, you have mass psychosis. These people just eat up what the project team says and rarely does anyone challenge them. People are afraid to speak up and make a fool of themselves because they most likely don't have enough understanding to pose a decent question. Currently defi is not for morons. It's like swimming in open ocean. You can be an olympic swimmer with a life vest on a kayak and the ocean will just disappear you. You have to ask yourself are you ok with that? If you don't know the risks, ASK. I'd rather look like a n00b with my money than a fleeced n00b. Stick with Robinhood or Interactive Brokers if you can't wrap your head around these concepts. This is early adopter stuff.
